Our Must-Visit Bars in Morzine

Morzine's vibrant après-ski scene is not to be missed. Whether you're looking for a cosy spot to relax after a day on the slopes, live music to dance the night away or somewhere to watch the big game, Morzine's bars have something for everyone. We’ve listed six of our favourite bars in Morzine below.

If you’d like some extra intel on which bars are the best, then do ask your Morzine chalet host for their recommendations. They will probably have visited most of them!

An excellent place to unwind at the end of a day on the slopes. The Moroccan styled interior sets the tone for one of the most relaxed drinks in town. Sit back on a large, cushioned sofa with a gin and tonic, or perch on a stool at a traditionally carved table with a ’giraffe’ of beer.

• Open from 16:00 - 02:00
• Regular cover bands play between 17:00 - 20:00
• Lively atmosphere after dinner with DJ playing old favourites 

A family-friendly bar located in the Tourist Office square overlooking the ice rink. Children will love their delicious hot chocolates and adults will appreciate their extensive drinks menu.

Plan your visit to Le Coup de Coeur:

• Open from 08:30 - 01:00
• Tapas, charcuterie, oysters and foie gras available all year
• Extensive wine list

In the early evening, the bar is mellow and a good place to sit down and relax. It is a popular hang-out for the season workers so as the evening goes on the bar fills up and can become hot and overcrowded. But the unique atmosphere speaks for itself - loud party tunes and dancing mean that this is not the place to go for a quiet drink!

• Open from 16:00 - 02:00
• Big screens showing live sport or winter sports films.
• Beer available from one of the self-serve table taps!

If you are after a pint of Guinness and a big screen showing all the live sport, the Dixie Bar is for you. There are three bars inside each with their own style, so you can stand at the bar and listen to the band or chill out on the sofas in the back room.

This is Morzine’s late-night club. Situated right in the centre near the other bars, it is a great place to go and dance the night away. Beware the price of drinks increase after midnight as the influx starts from the other bars. 

Plan your visit to L'Opera:

• Open from 00:00 - 05:00 (except Monday)
• Admission is €12 and you will have to pay €2 to put your jacket in the cloak room
• Tables can be booked in advance

This cafe bistro is the perfect place to plonk yourself down after a busy day skiing, or spend the afternoon relaxing with a few drinks. The cosy vibe makes it ideal for any time of the day, whether you’re ordering a latte or something a little more boozy.
