Whether you're a pro or a first-timer, these eco-friendly machines offer an exciting mix of speed, power, and quiet adventure. Guided by an expert, you’ll race across a dedicated circuit as the ski lifts close for the night. With only six riders per group, this exclusive ride is perfect for adrenaline junkies (16+). 4. Feel the Rush: Bobsleigh Adventures on La Plagne’s Olympic Track

La Plagne is lucky enough to boast the only bobsleigh track in the French Alps. Built for the 1992 Winter Olympics, it remains host to international contests but also allows the general public to have a go! Shoot down the 1507-metre-long track at speeds of up to 80km/h, making the 125-metre drop in altitude last less than two minutes. The speed record in La Plagne is an incredible 134 km/h!

Whether you’re seeking an individual adventure or a fun group experience, you won’t be disappointed. For solo daredevils, hop on the Speed Luge, where you'll race down the track in a semi-reclined position, feet first. As you hit speeds of up to 90 km/h, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of all 19 turns - if you can keep track at that speed!

For families or groups, the Bob Raft is your go-to. This self-guided, self-braking bobsleigh accommodates four passengers and hits speeds of 80 km/h. Perfect for first-timers, it’s an amazing way to share the experience while zooming down the same track as professional racers!

For the ultimate thrill, try the Bob Racing. This one is not for the faint-hearted! With a professional driver leading the way, you and two others will hurtle down the track at a whopping 120 km/h. Experience the G-forces in every turn, the exhilarating speed, and the intense sound of ice scraping beneath you as you get a true taste of what it’s like to race like a pro.

5. Soar Above La Plagne: Tandem Paragliding Adventure

Keen to try an exciting activity that will give you a bird’s eye view of La Plagne? It’s time to give tandem paragliding a try. 7. Conquer the Ice: Beginner Climbing at Champagny's 24m Ice Tower

Ever fancied trying your hand at ice climbing in a safe and controlled environment? Well, now you can. Learn the techniques you need in a 2-hour beginner session with an instructor. With a gradual incline, the 24 m-high ice tower in Champagny le Haut is the perfect place to get a feel for mountaineering. The steel and wood structure is sprayed with water which turns to ice in the valley's polar temperatures and offers several levels of difficulty - beginner sessions, self-climbing and climbing for FFCAM members.

8. Swim & Unwind: Heated Magic Pool in Plagne Bellecôte

The "Magic Pool" in Plagne Bellecôte is a unique and popular feature of the Deep Nature Spa, This outdoor pool, heated to 30 C boasts stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Younger guests will have fun in the paddling pool and the wellness area with Jacuzzi and outdoor sauna is the perfect place to recharge your batteries after skiing.

  • Open Monday to Saturday from 15:00 – 20:00.

9. Skate Under the Stars: Après-Ski Magic in Plagne Centre

Who doesn’t love the idea of skating under the stars in the mountains? Just a short stroll from our chalets, the ice rink in Plagne Centre is perfect for a little après-ski magic.  Take the children for some post-skiing fun or share a magical moment under the stars with someone special.

  • Located behind the Bellecôte gondola.

10. Catch a Movie: Films at AlloCiné in La Plagne

Fancy a little culture during your ski holiday? You can enjoy films in French and English in the evenings at AlloCiné. On snowy days, they often add a 14:30 matinee to the schedule. For film times visit the general Allociné website at www.allocine.fr and search "La Plagne". Or ask your chalet host for details.

11. Explore the Silence: Snowshoe Adventures in La Plagne

Snow shoeing is one of our favourite non-ski activities. It’s a great way to see the mountains and get away from the crowds. For those who want to venture out on their own, the resort has numerous footpaths and trails, each classified by difficulty level and accessible and completely free to access. In the silence, you can observe the wild animals that live in the mountains, smell the aromas of the woods and move at your own pace. Or you might prefer to join a guided snowshoe excursion where an expert guide will share knowledge about local plants and teach you how to spot animal tracks. Some guides also lead night walks to igloos or remote mountain restaurants for an unforgettable evening under the stars.

  • Half-day session from €35 per adult (includes equipment hire).
  • Children aged 9 and above can join an adult session. Half-day session from €29 (does not include equipment hire).

La Plagne’s four-lane bowling alley, just moments from our chalets, promises an evening of fun for all ages. With billiards, table football, arcade games, and big screens for live sports, children, teens and adults can enjoy friendly competition and endless entertainment!

14. Zip the Alps: Thrilling 600m Zip Wire from Aime 2000 to Plagne Centre

If you’re looking for the ultimate thrill during your stay, then you must check out the 600m-long zip wire that runs from Aime 2000 to Plagne Centre with amazing views of Mont Blanc. Rush through the air at speeds of up to 90km/h alongside the picturesque Lac Vert before coming in for a gentle landing. You can even take your skis with you for a speedy descent down the mountain!  

What you need to know:

  • Age 6-99.
  • Suitable for ages 6 to 99 and for those weighing between 20 and 130 kg.
  • €20 per person.
  • Open Mon, Tues Wed & Fri between 14:00 - 19:00. Thurs 10:00 – 19:00 and Sun 10:00 –16:00. Closed on Saturday.
  • Goggles are recommended in the winter.

15. Enjoy a Magical Adventure: Husky Dog Sledding

Husky dog sledding in Montchavin-Les Coches is a thrilling way to explore the snowy alpine landscape. Led by a team of eager, well-trained huskies, you’ll glide through snow-covered trails with stunning mountain views.

After a quick briefing, you can either relax as a passenger or try your hand at mushing, experiencing the peaceful winter silence broken only by the sled’s glide and the dogs' excitement. It's a magical, family-friendly adventure that lets you connect with these incredible dogs while soaking in the beauty of the French Alps.

16. Ride the Chairlift and Race Down a One-Mile Sledge Run

Colorado Park Sledging in Plagne Centre is an exciting, family-friendly sledging experience located in the heart of La Plagne. It features a dedicated sledging area with a well-maintained, safe run, perfect for both children and adults to enjoy. The park offers a variety of fun sledging activities, including options for solo and group rides, allowing visitors to experience the thrill of speeding down the slopes in a controlled environment. With its scenic location, Colorado Park also boasts fantastic views, making it a great après-ski activity for families and friends. It's a great way to enjoy the mountains from a different angle while having plenty of fun!

17. AÉROLIVE: The World’s Only Panoramic Cable Car Experience

AÉROLIVE is La Plagne's exclusive new experience, the only one of its kind in the world. Two cable cars, named "L'acrobate " (Acrobat) and "La Funambule ," (Tightrope walker) replace the classic cable cars to take the daring among you to the summit. Open to the elements, (passengers are attached to the cable car by harness), they'll transport you to the heart of the mountains while offering you an exceptional unobstructed panoramic view. At the top, take in the breathtaking glacier views from the stunning panoramic terrace at Live 3000 and unwind with a coffee or a leisurely lunch at the coffee shop.

  • The Aérolive welcome desk is located at the Roche de Mio ski lift in Plagne Bellecote.

18. Snooc: Fun Skiing & Sledging Combo for Families in La Plagne

Hoping to find an extra activity to help your children burn off some steam before dinner? Snooc is an exciting winter activity that combines skiing and sledging for a unique downhill experience. It consists of a sit-ski sledge setup where riders descend slopes in a seated position and is a great option for those who are new to winter sports or are looking for a fun alternative to skiing or snowboarding. This easy to master activity is a great way for both thrill-seekers and families to explore the slopes of La Plagne.

  • Minimum height: 1.4 m
  • 1 descent: €12. 5 descents: €48.

19. Nighttime Skidoo Adventure: Explore La Plagne Under the Stars

Experience a magical hour on the slopes above La Plagne as a solo driver or with a passenger, exploring under the quiet, starry sky once all the skiers and snowboarders have gone. Whether you're new to skidooing or an experienced rider, you will love the 12-km guided route with exceptional views of La Plagne by night.

What you need to know:

  • Meet at the bottom of the Funiplagne gondola.
  • Available 3 evenings per week, after the slopes have closed.
  • Activity must be booked in advance at the Snow Panthers chalet in Plagne Centre, just under the Funiplagne (Grande Rochette) gondola station or online.
  • Departs from the bottom of the slopes in Plagne Centre, at the top of Indien magic carpet (or 50m above Colorado chairlift).
  • Please arrive 15 min before departure.
  • 10-minute safety briefing followed by a 50-minute ride.
  • Warm ski wear, gloves, hat, goggles, snowboots required (no ski boots or scarves). Helmets provided.

20. 5 km of Pure Sledging Thrills

Get your adrenaline fix on this thrilling 5 km sledging course, featuring an exhilarating 450 m vertical descent! Experience 90 minutes of pure, old-fashioned fun as you race down closed pistes from Aime to La Roche, all under the cover of darkness. It’s a wild, unforgettable ride.

What you need to know:

  • Minimum age 14.
  • €39 per person.
  • This activity takes place from Tuesday to Saturday and lasts 1.5 hours.
  • Meet at 17:00 at the Oxygène shop in Plagne Centre.
  • Price includes: Superluge sledge, helmet, head torch, route guidance, hot chocolate or vin-chaud for arrival at the finish line and return transport to your hotel or chalet.
  • Bring: ski gear with warm snow boots, gloves and goggles (snowboarding boots can be rented at an additional cost).
