Beginners ski holidays
Planning your first ski holiday? We can help.
How many sports can transport you to some of the most breathtaking surroundings in the world, are suitable for a whole family to enjoy together and involve regular stops for coffee, mulled wine and fondue (choose your poison wisely). We realise that planning a first ski holiday for beginners can be a daunting task but are here to make the whole process as stress-free as possible.
Where to begin?
We can’t lie to you: there’s a lot to consider. Which ski resort will you go to, what kind of lift pass do you need, where can you hire equipment, which ski school will help you to progress the most in your limited time? Our expert sales team are here to guide you through each decision as it arises and ensure that you are armed with all the necessary information to make well-informed choices. Then it’s over to the VIP SKI teams in resort, carefully assembled to deliver consistently high levels of service and answer all your questions throughout the week. To make life easier we offer catered chalets too.
Learn from the best
Ski school is a huge consideration which can really make or break your week. We work with Oxygene, New Generation, Supreme, TDC and ESF ski schools in our resorts and pride ourselves on our excellent relationships with the best providers. Their instructors have all passed rigorous training and specialize in developing each person at their own pace to maximise enjoyment and leave you with a real sense of achievement at the end of the week. All classes are English speaking and capped at eight participants.
Suited and booted
Even once your lessons are organised you won’t get far without the main attraction, the skis! We would recommend hiring equipment on your first trip – in fact many experienced skiers who return year on year chose to hire. The shops which we work with in resort all stock the latest equipment and there is no need to worry about servicing, ski carriage or where on earth you’re going to store them for the other 51 weeks of the year. Skis, boots and poles are all obligatory and we would strongly recommend that beginners and experienced skiers alike add helmets to their hire package too.
What about the rest?
Once you’ve whizzed off the slopes for the day rest assured that we have perfected the recipe for complete relaxation to leave you well-fed and in the perfect frame of mind to digest what you’ve learnt and prepare for the next day’s challenges. A soak in a hot tub will ease any aches and pains from the mountain whilst you work up an appetite for your three-course evening meal. We serve high tea for kids at 6pm, allowing them time to get an early night, and ensure that the wine flows all the way throughout the adults’ dinner. All that’s left then is to collapse into a squashy sofa with a film and the view of the valley below or head out to explore the town at night.
