Luxury family ski chalets and hotels
We understand it’s not always possible to find a group of friends to fill a whole ski chalet, the good news is we now have a number of smaller 2 or 3 bedroom chalets perfect for a private family ski holiday. Our hotels are also well suited with family suites and interconnecting rooms, these are great value too as children occupying a third or fourth bed in a room travel at half price.
Our Childcare Manager understands the needs of a family and their considerations when choosing a resort and chalet. She's collated a list of family properties from our portfolio...
CLUB Altitude Lodge, Les Gets
CLUB Altitude Lodge is a firm favourite for families, notably for the short transfer from Geneva, spacious family rooms and of course the unbeatable ski in-ski out location. For ski equipment hire we work with Vermont Sport, whose shop is literally 100m from the chalet. With ski hire and the collection point for ski school being so close to the chalet, the logistics of children skiing is made much easier.
The 9-bedroom chalet is spacious with a large outside terrace for all of your children’s snowman building needs. Adults will enjoy a choice of dishes for the evening meal, and of course, our qualified chef will ensure all children are well catered for too. Les Gets offers a number of activities to keep the whole family entertained on and off the slopes. Take a husky dog sleigh ride, visit Carolines Alpine Farm, ice skate under the stars, go ten pin bowling or take a trip on the little train through the town.
The Manoir, Morzine
The Manoir, in Morzine, is a brilliant 5-bedroom chalet for an extended family looking to spend a memorable week together in Morzine. Morzine is a great resort for families due to the wide variety of activities on offer as well as being located just an hour and 20 minutes from Geneva airport. The property has two large living rooms, ping pong table, cinema room and pool table that will keep children entertained for hours. The separate dining room is perfect for when parents want to relax and enjoy a more ‘adult’ dinner whilst their children are occupied elsewhere. The Manoir has plenty of space for extra children in our family suites rooms as well as ample room for cots in lots of the bedrooms.
There is a huge outside area around the building which should keep the children entertained, making snowmen, building snow castles, or having snowball fights! However, do bear in mind, it is located about 10 minutes' walk from the snow front… so be prepared from some tired little legs in the afternoon, after a big day on the mountain.
Bear Lodge, Arc 1950
The Disney-like resort of Arc 1950 offers plenty of high-altitude blue runs making it easy for those finding their feet and offering quick access to the rest of the Arcs villages. Our warm and characterful Bear Lodge hotel is made up of thirty spacious bedrooms, just a stone’s throw from said pistes. With a number of family rooms, adjoining suites and rooms with bunk beds (half price for children) it’s an ideal spot for a family getaway. We offer a private nanny service throughout the whole season and plenty of communal spaces for children to meet and play within the Lodge. The village itself also offers a wide range of local activities for the whole family to enjoy from husky rides and snakegliss-ing to discovering a 400m2 igloo!
Suite Baloo, Arc 1950
The pedestrianised village of Arc 1950 is a beautiful and safe resort and our Suite Baloo sits right in the heart of it. This private 2-bedroom chalet-apartment has direct access to the village and comprises of en-suite bedrooms, each with additional bunks. This chalet is great for a family or a small group of friends with children travelling at half price on bunk beds. The ideal location and access to the piste makes it very easy for children to head off to ski school without lugging ski gear across town. With access to our Bear Resort facilities, kids can unwind after a day on the slopes in our communal kids' playroom or cinema, whilst parents can make the most of the lounge, bar and spa area.
Private luxury ski chalets for a family of four
In addition to the chalets listed above, which our Childcare Manager has highlighted as ideal properties for family ski holidays, we now also have a selection of two-bedroom chalets in our portfolio. These chalets are ideal for a private family ski holiday, all with a dedicated chalet host.
No 2 Aspen House in Val d'Isere is a delightful space for a family or small group with a spacious open plan living/dining area. Loft 3 Aspen House in Val d'Isere is a spectacular vaulted suite located in the heart of the village.
Suite Koda and Suite Choko in Arc 1950 are stunning private chalet-apartments within our dedicated family ski hotel, Bear Lodge. These luxurious suites combine the privacy and personalised service of our chalets whilst enjoying access to a communal lounge and bar area, a pool complex featuring a sauna, steam room, hot tub and massage suites, as well as an exercise room, cinema and concierge ski room with a rental shop.
