April ski holidays

Skiing in France in April combines the thrill of the sport with the beauty of spring, offering a more laid-back and affordable alternative to the winter months.

For those of you thinking it's too late to ski, you're wrong. We're always excited about spring skiing, especially the last couple of weeks of the ski season, just think... quieter slopes, longer days and milder temperatures, plenty of snow, and unmissable special offers. Some of the best skiing conditions have been seen recently in April, with snow still falling up until the end of the month and plenty of sunshine to enjoy.

There’s always a great vibe at the end of the season, with many end of season parties and also some great deals to be snapped up with end of season sales on skis, snowboards, boots and clothing.

1. Sunshine and Warmth: April often brings milder temperatures and sunny days, creating a more relaxed skiing experience. Skiing in a T-shirt isn't unusual.
2. Fewer Crowds: By April, the peak tourist season is over. This means fewer crowds on the slopes and in the resorts, providing a more peaceful, spacious skiing experience. Shorter lift queues make it easier to maximise your time on the slopes.
3. Cheaper Prices: Lift passes, accommodations, and even flights tend to be more affordable in April compared to the busy winter months. Many resorts offer late-season deals, making it an excellent time for budget-conscious skiers.
4. Extended Daylight Hours: The days are longer in April, giving skiers more time to enjoy the slopes. Plus, longer daylight allows for more après-ski activities or relaxing in the sun after a day of skiing.
5. Easter Holidays: If Easter falls in April, some resorts offer special family-friendly activities, making it an ideal time for a family ski holiday.

Easter falls late in 2025 with many UK schools breaking for the Easter holidays between 30 March & 20 April so you can enjoy some great spring skiing over the Easter break. This Easter, Good Friday falls on 18th April and Easter Monday on the 20th April.  Plan a holiday around the bank holiday weekend and ski 6 days with only 4 days off work.
