We know that web sites are littered with anonymous out of date testimonials that it’s difficult to trust, but we're displaying comments written by our current and recent guests live, here on our web site. We're laying it bare, warts and all, and with the name of the writer attached. It’s not easy to look at yourself objectively, so don’t listen to us, listen to our guests.

  • Perfect place for the family

    VIP Ski were fantastic from start to finish. The set up of Bear Lodge is perfect for family groups regardless of age and skiing ability. The facilities and location meant those in our group who didn't want to ski all day had plenty of options to relax and explore. Before we even arrived they had called me to check details and ensure everything would be right in our chalet. This attention to detail carried on throughout the holiday from all staff in the resort. Our main chalet host Max was brilliant, with Dilly and Georgie who helped on different days being just as good and friendly. The birthday cake for my son that Max made for our arrival was a lovely touch, as was the card from Bear Cubs team. Katie in Bear Cubs, was great with my son. She gave us daily updates, and made sure he was entertained with a variety of different activities including sledging, swimming, snow painting and ball games in the sports hall. This might be the best ski holiday I have been on, and I will definitely look at returning.

  • Another great week of family skiing with VIP

    Overall another fantastic week of skiing with VIPski. We loved the chalet, particularly with the pool and sauna in the basement which was great to have onsite for all the family. We were very well looked after by the resort team from start to finish. We have a few observations that would make skiing trips with VIP: 1. Buy more fresh/local produce. The food was good but could be much improved with higher quality ingredients, particularly given the premium offering from VIP more generally. For example, having supermarket cheese in France seems a waste of the excellent local cheese that is available. 2. Chalet bedrooms are very warm overnight and it can be hard to get these down to a more comfortable sleeping temperature. I understand that new-build chalets will be built with a good heating system and well insulated to stay warm but it would be helpful if individual rooms could be made cooler (without having to leave the balcony door open all night). 3. Lastly, coach transfer times involved us hanging around for over an hour in both directions. I understand you can’t meet all the different flights individually but 2 of our group who arrived later in the day had a minivan waiting for them whereas 9 of us had to wait around earlier in the day. Given the overall premium service we are paying for it would be much better if large groups were able to have a dedicated transfer as part of the package. The coaches we had were far from full so didn’t seem necessary to group us all onto coaches that required a long wait.

    Another awesome year from VIP. Excellent service from booking, chalet staff, resort management and even collection from the medical centre! Ash, Ned, Emily, Will, Iona & Alice seamlessly rotated to feed us like royals every night and still had a smile for breakfast in the mornings. What a wonderful holiday, thank you.

    We had the best skiing holiday for a very long time. Conditions made it as close to perfect as is possible, especially when the sun came out at the end of the week. The staff in the bear Lodge were fantastic, cheery, polite and helpful. The facilities are first class but we knew what to expect having stayed before. My two slight gripes would be, inside the wellness centre quiet time should become adult time. Quiet time was not policed and it would be easy to say only over 18s from 630pm. Secondly we deliberately booked a 2pm flight home to avoid at early transfer. Despite questioning it, we were put on a 7am transfer arriving at Geneva at 10 am. Too early to check our luggage in (Check in opens 3 hous before your flight, in our case 11am). We were in the airport for 5 hours, because our flight was delayed by an hour. Not the best way to finish a wonderful holiday. Particularly when we meet other guests from the Bear Lodge in the Bar who had caught a later transfer,

    We have just arrived home from a fantastic ski holiday in chalet kipnuk. From our arrival in Geneva airport to our departure we were given exceptional service by all the staff at VIP Ski. The chalet is amazing, really luxury with plenty of room in the bedroom and a quality bathroom. The lounge area was lovely and a good boot room for storage. I’d like to give a special mention to Ellie and Millie our chalet hosts for looking after us during our stay, brilliant hosts and superb chefs!! They work incredibly hard to ensure we had the best holiday possible, nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be booking with VIP again. Gareth, Lynsey and Oli.

    Our stay was enhanced by the customer service provided by Lara and George who looked after us superbly- thank you for the Valentine hearts on the cake. They were professional and focused on their customers needs. The chalet was cosy and clean and very quiet being at the back of Aspen house. If we have one suggestion it would be to replace or coat the kitchen surfaces as they are dated and don’t look clean even though they were. The transfer experience when leaving was so much better than the last time we stayed showing that VIP have listened to feedback. The booking process was excellent with knowledgeable and caring staff dealing with us. Another excellent experience . Thank you

  • Comfort and service in a superb location

    Overall, an excellent experience! The location cannot be bettered, our room was comfortable, the shower excellent, and we really enjoyed the food. The bus transfers were also great, and allowed us to chose flights to make the travel days as painless as possible. Possible points for improvement are the after ski tea, which ended too early for those taking full advantage of the longer ski day at this time of year, and trying to avoid long waits in the restaurant. The only other downside, and outside VIP's control, is the noise from the piste bashers housed just across from our room in the early hours of the morning.

    The experience at the chalet was excellent overall, with a couple of things that could be improved. 1. The food was very good throughout. 2. The chalet hosts were all very friendly, and also willing to listen to requests and understand them. 3. Rooms were well prepared and good, with good working showers. Things that could be improved: 1. The steps up to the piste became increasingly slippery and steep - could they be cleared, gritted and salted? 2. It took some visits from a technician to get the hot tub up to 40 degrees on the first day, and on the very last day it seemed to have broken again. The chalet hosts seemed unaware that it isn't enough for a hot tub to be steaming - it needs to actually reach 40 degrees (or close) at the time the guests want to use it. It would be useful to train the hosts to check the actual temperature each day and to call the technician if the tub isn't reaching it. 3. It would be a nice touch to leave current piste maps in each room for the guests, especially useful for those who might not know where to get one.
