Summer holidays...make memories to last a lifetime

If you’ve ever wondered what the mountains look like when the snow melts then it might be worth considering our Summer Alps holidays. During the summer holidays, we open 5 chalets in Alpe d’Huez, 7 chalets in Morzine and our Altitude Lodge hotel in Les Gets for those of you looking to spend a few days or even a few weeks in the mountains. 

Last year Renee Harris, along with her family and friends, stayed in Altitude Lodge in Les Gets and they’ve given us a rundown (and a great collection of photos) of their holiday highlights 

“Altitude lodge is an amazing Chalet in the most beautiful setting. The rooms are large and so are the bathrooms with most of the rooms having private terraces or balconies- some even hot tubs. The outdoor spaces at Altitude make the most of the stunning scenery. There is a large deck for outdoor lazing or dining- We did Pilates on it most mornings or HIIT sessions!

The VIP team at Altitude Lodge never seemed overwhelmed by our group which included 13 children and 8 adults. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. The food was excellent and the 2 amazing birthday cakes are just one example of the personalised service we received that week. 

We used VIP nannies and Lily in particular was outstanding. Lily organised so many fun activities for the children and she was so accommodating and resilient. Remember, she had to look after and co-ordinate 13 children- she needs a medal! 

There’s loads of activities available including mountain biking, white water rafting, horse riding, exploring the mountains, waterfall walks and the children especially loved the high ropes through the trees in Nyon. 

Our favourite walking/ running track from Altitude Lodge leads to the top of the Pleney in Morzine. The scenery is quite simply breath taking. From the top you can jump on the lift that takes you down into Morzine. There is a super fun luge there and the children loved it- so did the adults

Lake Montriond is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Our whole group spent the day paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. The staff at Altitude Lodge packed us an amazing luxury picnic, which was way beyond our expectations.  

We had the most perfect action packed week staying at Altitude Lodge in Les Gets. Holidays do not get much better than this!  We made memories that will last forever and we all can't wait to go back next year.
