The joy of a well organised ski holiday isn’t just the crisp mountain air, thrill of the slopes or the splendid indulgence of a well-earned après-ski … it’s in the seamless experience; from the moment you land to the last, perfectly carved turn at the bottom of the hill. You will not be surprised to know that behind the theatre is a powerhouse team of women working tirelessly to make it happen.
This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the incredible women that drive VIP SKI’s success; our managers and senior leaders who ensure that every meal, chalet, hotel and transfer runs like clockwork. From operations to catering, HR to finance, these women are the backbone of the VIP SKI experience.
Let’s meet the team...
Having taken on a variety of roles at VIP SKI, Kristin now leads our staff training with an eye for detail and a knack for troubleshooting. She thrives on finding creative solutions to challenges and ensuring our team is prepared for anything the season throws at us. Originally from South Africa, she carries her passion for teamwork and excellence into everything she does.
From menu design to supplier selection, Laura is the driving force behind our exceptional dining experience. She works relentlessly to refine our food offering, ensuring guests enjoy high-quality, delicious meals throughout their stay. Her expertise guarantees that VIP SKI’s reputation for outstanding chalet dining remains firmly intact.
Clare oversees the complex web of transport arrangements that bookend our holidays and make airport to airport as seamless as we can. With years of experience in the Alps, she ensures that guests arrive stress-free and ready to hit the slopes. Her organisation and problem-solving skills keep everything running smoothly from the moment our guests hit the ground.
Alys is the behind-the-scenes mastermind ensuring resorts are fully stocked and running efficiently. From budgeting to procurement, she keeps a close eye on finances and supplier relationships, making sure every aspect of the guest experience is supported with the necessary resources.
A ski season is only as good as the people delivering it, and that’s where Claire comes in. As HR Manager, she selects the best candidates, builds strong teams, and supports both full-time and seasonal staff throughout the winter. Her goal? To create a happy and fulfilled workforce, ensuring every guest experience is delivered with enthusiasm and expertise.
Lucy is dedicated to making family ski holidays as enjoyable as possible. Leading our team of nannies, she ensures that our youngest guests are well cared for while their parents make the most of their time on the slopes. With a passion for childcare, she helps create a seamless and stress-free experience for families. She lives by the motto “happy children make happy parents.”
With a hand in every aspect of the business, Pip ensures VIP SKI’s Operations run like clockwork. Whether in the Alps or back in the UK, she manages logistics, staff, and the guest experience with a steady hand, ensuring a smooth and successful ski season year after year. After more decades at the helm than she would like to remember, no one knows the Alps like Pip.
Responsible for shaping the VIP SKI brand, Nici ensures our marketing speaks directly to our audience. She crafts compelling messaging, builds strategic campaigns, and works to keep VIP SKI front-of-mind for new and returning guests alike. Off the slopes, she can be found tackling dog agility courses with her energetic spaniel, Floyd.
Kate collates the stories, articles, videos and photos and blends this into a language that speaks to the varied audiences across all our communication channels. She crafts the mountain of imagery into stories that portray the magical world in which we and our guests are lucky enough to live.
Beyond our senior leadership team, VIP SKI is powered by many other talented women who contribute to our success every day. A special mention to our dedicated full-time employees, the very backbone of our community, including:
The ski industry has traditionally been a male-dominated space, but these women are changing the game. Their leadership, expertise, and passion ensure that VIP SKI continues to deliver exceptional holidays while paving the way for more women to thrive in senior roles.
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women shaping our industry and invite you to do the same. Have you encountered an inspiring woman on your ski adventures, whether a chalet host, ski instructor, or trip organiser? We’re sure you have. Join us in saying a HUGE thank you to women in the travel industry, and let’s champion the women behind the slopes!
