Once you’re out enjoying the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area, you may not feel like stopping for lunch, let alone skiing back to your chalet! Don’t worry - there is a fantastic selection of restaurants on the mountain or in the village to choose from.
During busier school holiday weeks, don’t forget to ask your chalet host to make a reservation on your behalf so that you can get a table. Many of the lunch time restaurants also offer evening dining, perfect for your chalet host’s night off.
Here’s our selection of 12 of the best restaurants in and around Les Gets:
La Rossetaz is known for its creative take on classic baguettes. A standout favourite is ‘L'Americain’ - a hearty whole baguette packed with two burgers, crispy fries, and a signature special sauce, perfect for refuelling after a morning on the slopes.
Dining at La Rossetaz:
Situated at an impressive altitude of 1750 metres, La Grand Ourse has stunning views of the surrounding mountains and most notably Mont Blanc. With its large outdoor terrace and cosy interior this place really is worth a visit one sunny lunchtime. We recommend booking ahead as it’s very popular.
Dining at La Grande Ourse:On sunny days, this spot boasts a sun-drenched terrace from morning to evening, making it the perfect place to soak up the views.
Dining at Le Vaffieu:
A great lunch spot if you're heading over to Avoriaz. Located opposite the cable car and boasting 160 indoor seats and an additional 250 seats on the terrace, you will be well looked after by Flo and her friendly team.
Dining at Chez Flo:Perfect for large groups, this Savoyard restaurant offers cosy indoor seating and two spacious terraces. The menu features a mix of favourites, from traditional fondue and pizzas to seafood - try the scallops!
Dining at La Pointe de Nyon:Take a seat on the sun-drenched terrace and enjoy fantastic fine-dining. There's plenty on offer including meat, poultry and fish grilled on the wood-fired barbecue as well as traditional dishes and speciality cheeses.
Dining at La Paika:If you’re in the mood for pizza, Primo is the place to be. This cosy restaurant offers a selection of delicious, freshly made pizzas and tasty salads, making it a great spot to refuel after a day on the slopes.
Dining at Primo:
Ô Chalet has been a favourite among burger lovers in Morzine since 2014, and in December 2023, it brought its delicious offerings to Les Gets, serving up a tempting selection of burgers, bagels and crepes.
Dining at Ô Chalet:This Asian takeaway in the heart of the mountains brings a taste of the East to the Alps, serving fresh sushi and flavourful pad Thai to chirashi bowls, crispy gyozas and homemade egg rolls. There is even a sushi vending machine outside the restaurant that operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all year round where you will find sushi platters, aburi, wok, hors d'oeuvres and mochis...
Dining at Sush'Ski:Set within a charming alpine hotel complete with a cosy, welcoming fireplace, La Pivotte celebrates regional flavours with traditional cheese dishes and hearty specialities, including fondue, matouille, pork hotpot, alpine boards and fresh fish from local lakes.
Dining at La Pivotte:
A lovely little restaurant with excellent food, friendly people and a cosy warm atmosphere - a small menu with big flavours. It’s hardly surprising, this restaurant, located in old vaulted cellars formerly devoted to cheese ripening has many cheese specialties on the menu such as fondue, raclette and vacherin.
Dining at La Fruitiere des Perrieres:A family restaurant recommended by the Les Gets team for tapas and cuisine from around the world such as burgers, gyozas, tacos, bao buns and pad thai.
Dining at Le Boomerang:Let us help you get ready for your escape to Les Gets.
We are very happy to pre-book a table in your chosen restaurant for you. Just let us know which restaurant you would like to visit, how many people are in your party and what time you would like to eat.
