From the minute we arrived in Morzine our experience was amazing ! I had only ever been to Morzine in the winter, but in the summer it just keeps on giving!! There is so much left to do we will have to return. Our accommodation was perfect for our large mixed aged group 2-63!! It was clean, equipped to a very high standard and quality, right down to the luxurious spa products. Our chalet host Chloe could not have been more helpful and with her knowledge of the area enabled us to get the very best from all that Morzine has to offer. To sum up when I asked my partner for his contribution for review he said " it was the best holiday he had ever had"

Read more… Stayed Aug 2017From booking through to leaving, all of us were blown away with just how good our holiday with VIP was. The fact that you arranged transfers for multiple arrival and departure days and times, all of which where ready and waiting for us in a convenient place and appropriate for the luggage we had was great and really took the pressure out of this part of the holiday. The chalet itself was brilliant. Cleaned everyday and around us sometimes was again great. Any questions we had, Nat was always on the other end with helpful answers and seemingly a smile while she did it. Full credit to her as a number of us mentioned how nice and helpful she was. When we were leaving, a late departure was no trouble, and though the ice machine was broken, there were bags of ice in the fridge for us once this was mentioned. I really would have no issues booking via VIP again, and personally doing the same chalet would be my preference. I think you have found at least 13 new customers for VIP.

They were so accomodating to my annoying foodie needs, and I really appreciated that, didn't feel left out with any meals and they were so tasty. Recommend it to anyone, all 3 chefs were so knowledgable and learnt so many tips and tricks which will hopefully make my season easier. Chalet was beautiful too. Cheers for a brilliant week x

Read more… Stayed Sep 2016We’re back home now after our trip to France, and I just wanted to say a big thanks to VIP for the excellent week we spent in Morzine. Rob and Hannah were fantastic, helping us settle in and especially advising us on our day trips. They were also very patient with the kids and their various breakfast demands. All in all we were very well looked after. We’ll definitely consider VIP again, next time we head to the Alps, winter or summer.

Read more… Stayed Aug 2016We stayed in Room 7, in Alaska Lodge from 25th June this year for a week. The weather was amazing and Morzine was an excellent base to explore the PDS in Summer as well as further afield. Rob was our host for the week and he looked after us brilliantly. We were the only two guests in the chalet but breakfast was always beautifully laid out and cooked to perfection. Rob's knowledge of the area was invaluable and he was always really helpful when suggesting walking routes and areas to be aware of regarding mountain bikers. As well as parapenting options and places to visit further afield. I can recommend staying in the Alps in Summer in general and with VIP especially. The booking process was simple and Becky and Jess kept in touch with all the relevant information. Thanks to Rob, Becky & Jess for your help throughout!

Read more… Stayed Jun 2016Wanted a bit of training for the Etape and Chalet Alaska was perfect. Dead centre of town with room to store bikes. Rob was very accommodating with our delayed arrival and couldn't have been more helpful as well as cooking a great breakfast. Chalet was lovely, modern, spacious and very well appointed. It would be a lovely base for a Winter ski holiday.

They managed to pack a huge amount in to one week and we learnt so much from them! The balance of demos, practical, individual and group work was spot on and they made the entire time there thoroughly enjoyable. I feel SO much more confident about my cooking ability and would recommend the course to anyone!!

Would totally recommend it to those who are looking for a good cooking education (from the very basic skills, to the far more intricate dishes) and to build their cooking confidence for the upcoming season. Everyone was very approachable which meant all participants could ask questions in a relaxed environment, making the entire experience a pleasure.

Read more… Stayed Aug 2015I went into this week with only a limited knowledge of what to expect from a season hosting for VIP, and a decidedly vague idea of how to cook. I have returned more excited than ever to join the team and with cookery skills that make my previous attempts look like a series of tasteless jokes. This is to the credit of the team VIP have in place and with the careful oversight of Emily, operation 'master chef' ran like clockwork from transfer to transfer. The course itself was taken under the tutelage of Ant, Katy and Katie. Ant started the week by happily dicing onions at the speed of light, with a knife the size of my forearm whilst looking around the group explaining the process and seemingly unaware of what he was doing - At this stage I had a feeling there was much to be learnt. The level of skill to live up to was quickly corroborated by both Katies and can only be described as real good. Thankfully, my intimidation was short lived as it soon became apparent that their skill as Chefs was only to be matched by their skill as teachers and by the end of the session I was chopping up veg like it owed me money. The learning curve was steep and with each morning and afternoon session a new skill was added, with the immediate opportunity to practice and develop said skill. Everything that I could have possibly thought of had been covered and any question I posed no matter how basic or complicated was swiftly answered. This was extended to questions regarding the life as a chalet host and when the evening meal was completed the best answers became a demonstration. The group who I was lucky enough to go out with got on like a chalet on fire (thankfully despite a few smoke alarms we actually managed to avoid this being too literal) and really were the icing on the cake. From a wine induced viewing of Tangled to white water rafting, there was never a dull moment and I hope to meet many more characters like them whilst on the slopes. I cannot recommend the entire experience more highly to any party, either looking to brush up on their skills, join the VIP team or simply enjoy an incredible holiday. I look forward to seeing everyone again come winter.

I learnt so much and I had no idea there was so many different ways to cut vegetables! I feel confident enough to go on the Great British bake off and cook anyone a three course meal to impress. It was a great crowd of people with a lot of kitchen banter. The white water rafting was huge fun and a great contrast to our busy schedule in the kitchen. Thank you also to Emily for organising such an informative course and week to remember. I hope to see some of the cooking crew in the Alps this winter.

Read more… Stayed Aug 2015VIP Ski came up with a fantastic solution for our summer short break to Morzine. I had two nights B&B in the main part of Alaska Lodge and then my wife and her friend came to join me for the weekend in the Valdez suite. The accomodation is beautiful, clean and modern, and I couldn't imagine a more central location. Rob was the perfect host - so enthusiastic and helpful, great knowledge of the resort and went out of his way to make sure we had everything wee needed for our stay.

We were immediately welcomed by Rob who gave us a complete guide of the chalet and facilities, and provided us with multi-passes and a choice of restaurants etc in the resort. The chalet was immaculate and Rob served breakfast (of your choice ) every morning. We are hoping to return very soon.
