Had a great time once again at altitude lodge.

Great holiday, excellent staff, lovely food and really nice guests to share quality time with. Overall an excellent holiday experience. A big thank you to all the VIP Ski staff and having enjoyed 6 previous holidays with VIP we are sure to come back again.

Brilliant holiday great staff superb food from Adam Managed to ski every day despite the. snow being a bit thin especially lower down.

This was the ultimate holiday - the team were so helpful and friendly - it was the best to unwind and relax. From breakfast to dinner, the team remembered our drink preferences and the food was honestly unreal! Nothing was too much to ask, if they didn’t have it in the morning, it would be there by the afternoon. The chef was top quality too! The hot tub was right on the piste, offering incredible views and the sauna was the best unwind after a day on the piste. The snow was sparse but the VIP team made sure to keep everyone in good spirits, and drove us to the connecting resorts when the runs were not open between them.

Nick and the team at Altitude Lodge, went above and beyond to make our week a joy despite the rain! The food was simply amazing as was every aspect of the service from start to finish. The small details make all the difference, from dropping us of at the lifts to morning coffee and the concierge service, every aspect of this holiday was a cut above the rest and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Nothing was a problem for them. The transfers were well organised and comfortable. The chalet is in an ideal location on the piste. Very easy ski in/out and it was a novelty to be able to have a pit stop if required during the day. The food was well prepared, varied and tasty. A dietary intolerance in our family was catered for without any fuss. Would definitely recommend!

Have had a wonderful time , nice location and the holiday has been really good fun. however, weather and ski conditions have been variable and getting into les get due to timing of bus was not so easy . Chalet room was fabulous the team are fun, friendly and looked after us . Really enjoyed our stay. One improvement I have raised at vip ski previously, in France I would expect fresh French bread daily , not the prepackaged cook yourself! Thanks Maria and Toby

Nick and his team (Jo, Ollie, Jessie, Imogen and Adam) were amazing. They were friendly and welcoming every day. Couldn’t help us enough - going above and beyond. The chalet is perfectly positioned on the piste for easy access to slopes and ski school. The ski shop and bars were a stone throw away too. It was so nice to be able to pop back to eat our lunch with kids somewhere warm on cold days, or sit outside in the sun. The food was great and plentiful, accompanied with a great drink selection. We would definitely recommend this place to others and come back ourselves. The team were great, chalet superb and location ideal. Too rate all round!

We had such a great time at VIP Les Gets. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The chalet was comfortable, practical and absorbed quite a few children very well. The food and cake has been excellent all week. Nick, Adam, Joe, Jessie, Imogen and Olly have been attentive and brilliant all week. Thanks so much.

Great and very caring and friendly team led by Nick who all looked after us really well in a very relaxed atmosphere. Started with our early morning tea outside our room every morning (such a welcome treat) through to the tasty meals beautifully prepared by chef Adam and Joe. Jess, Ollie and Imogen always tried to look after our every need with a smile and resort information - a big thank you to all of you. Chalet very well located right next to pistes and great to be able to stop off for a coffee during the day. Loved the hot tub.

It was a real pleasure to enjoy the chalet with all it offered amongst a superb team hosted by a Kristin who was friendly , and very helpful with everything -clearly thoughtful of staffs need at all times . Enjoyed many a passing conversation day and night with the team who were a real credit to VIP and themselves . It made for an even more enjoyable week.

Altitude Lodge what an amazing experience .. from being met at the airport to the swift easy transfer with little treats for the kids en route … Kristin met our every need sorted out ski passes and met our every request even dropping us into Avoriaz when we wanted to venture further afield. In the chalet Jesse Imogen and Ollie were exceptional they waited on us hand and foot bought drinks for us to the hot tub and didn’t let us lift a finger. Adam the chef was on another level it was like eating in a Michelin star restaurant. Thank you all so much

Having worked in the hospitality & events industry for over 35 years, I thought you might like some honest feedback on the standards in this Chalet. The Chalet itself was great - exceptionally hot water, bathroom radiator and ski room, nicely furnished and a really comfortable bed. It was also really nice to have two pillows each. I enjoyed all of my meals and there was enough variety. Transfers were very well organised with good quality vehicles too and a welcome inclusive addition. Whilst the team were personable, well presented and friendly, there was a little lack of connectivity between what should have been a repeated function and what actually happened day by day, according to who was on duty. The Chefs, Finn and Adam were really fun and Ollie was the most conscientious and a delightful young man - possibly a Manager role in the future for him, he was that switched on. I'd just like to highlight some little things which weren't handled well, which meant the onus was on the guests to manage - asking what the exact hot option was for breakfast every morning, what was I having for dinner (we completed a week's worth of choices on the first night and twice a guest nearly went short) guests were left to light the fire themselves, pre-dinner drinks not refreshed in a timely manner, dinner wines/waters etc were not put on the table before being seated, on one occasion I had finished my starter before the question arose, salt & pepper/sauces not always on the table, (and the foil not taken off on a new bottle of ketchup - I know that is not a crime or a problem to manage myself!..) and they frantically prepared our departure baguette as they had forgotten - yet It is something they have to do every Sunday!! - but it's this sort of detail and care, in my experience, that can make a guest experience memorable. That said, I would definitely consider VIP for a future holiday, as overall, it lived up to expectations. I hope you will find these comments of use to help other guests/aid training. Thank you Gina

We first stayed at Altitude Lodge in March 2011 - a family trip with our seven month old granddaughter. She’s thirteen now, skis well, blacks sometimes, though not with us on this trip (at school). So eight times at Altitude Lodge…The staff are as friendly as ever and look after breakfast and supper and afternoon cake with brisk assurance. The quality of food has varied over the years. This time breakfast seemed a bit meagre. The cooked breakfasts are mostly very good but, in an exclusively adult week, why bother putting out CocoPops, Cornflakes and Weetabix everyday? There was a bag of very sweet granola(?) but nobody seemed to bother with that either. No unsweetened muesli, no good live yoghurt (just default Danone) and, if anyone might’ve wanted it, no oat milk. I suppose, in future, a strong request needs to be made in advance. The evening meals were mostly good, sometimes not. My own preference for vegetarian food was mostly well met, with one or two exceptions. I noticed that meat dishes were sometimes a bit undercooked, accompanied by minimal vegetables - but that was to some people’s taste, if not everyone’s. It used to be fun when Altitude Lodge was also a daytime restaurant - it was lively, full of French people speaking French, and the food was great. It feels a bit empty and sad now - until things pick up at the end of the day. Altitude Lodge used to provide an evening meal throughout the week but now, in common with many other chalets, there’s a night when it’s a matter of eating out or getting a takeaway. It’s a bit awkward because the lodge is way above the main town - you can’t just wander out and find somewhere to eat. Its location is perfect - ski in ski out - and that outweighs the disadvantages. So more than likely we’ll be back!

Excellent location right on the piste, food was amazing, lovely communal areas, large boat room and the girls and chef were lovely. Really enjoyed our stay

The team were very attentive and helpful. The food was outstanding. The white wines weren’t to our taste but Becky arranged for us to purchase our own Would suggest that the bread and croissants could be vastly improved by buying locally from a boulangerie rather than the precooked supermarket stuff.

Excellent ski in/out chalet, amazing staff Jess, Geogie & Imogen looked after us so well, fabulous chef Adam & Finn cooked the most delicious food, can't fault anything, thank you so much for just the best week ever. Look forward to seeing you all again.

In general it was very very good. We had an issue with our hot tub which did not work. Afternoon cakes were not up to the usual standard. Sometimes there wasn’t much evidence of staff around at this time.

We loved the chalet it feels modern with spacious bedrooms. The chalet location for skiing is perfect and makes the start of the day so easy Every member of staff was warm friendly and always happy to help with any request. Huge thank you to Imogen, Jessie and Georgie for making us so welcome always smiling and happy to help Adam the chefs food was delicious and full of variety - we are going home kilos heavier Beckie was a fantastic host and manager and worked so very hard. Always on hand by WhatsApp and happy to make any requests happen A few suggestions Having the fire lit every evening would be great - the lounge and dining areas can be cold While it only happens once a year suggest a plan is made for guests on NYE - we felt a bit cut off and unable to go to town as the bubble stops at 4.20 and the night bus doesn’t start until 20.30. It would have been nice to have an arrangement of transport offered or some sort of party organised in the chalet Transport as above it is difficult to visit the town after skiing - it would be great for a driver to be available late afternoons until dinner Lighting in the rooms - very dark to do makeup either more light over the sink mirror or over the long mirror Water in the rooms - would be great to have a carafe refilled daily plus glasses

We had a great week at the Altitude Lodge. It perfectly suited our three generations, the location on the piste was ideal, snow conditions were good and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Abi, Naomi, Cameron and Charlie were perfect hosts. I would just agree with a previous comment that it would have been nice to have some local cuisine and some lighter options.

We have just returned from a great holiday at Altitude Lodge. The VIP staff were all friendly and very efficient. We were all made to feel very much at home. The chalet is very well situated for skiing but this is not the place to be if you want night life as the village is a good distance away (accessible by bubble life in the daytime). But for family fun it’s just perfect.

Our third visit to altitude and despite worries about lack of snow (justified, but the pistes were very well worked!) we had a wonderful time. Thank you to all the team there.

From the customer service in the UK to the team in chalet, we had a brilliant holiday! The team are a credit to VIP SKI, the meals were great. Kids tea was all freshly cooked and varied, a welcome change from nuggets and chips! Fantastic drinks and canapes too and reading the previous reviews we picked up a bottle of gin in duty free to bring along and the staff were more than happy to provide tonics and ice Great and patient help from the UK team arranging our first experience of ski school for our 3yr old - it's an easy walk to go down in the bubble to be at the ESF for the Club Piou Pioou 9am lessons (they didn't mind her being 5 mins late as the bubble opens at 9!) There are no negatives, the service was seamless from start to finish with a wonderful last night in front of the camp fire for our final evening

We had an excellent experience on our first VIP ski holiday. Right from the booking process through to the holiday itself we couldn’t fault a thing. Altitude lodge is perfectly located, spacious and comfortable. The staff we fabulous, food excellent, good choices of drinks. We would love to return.

From start to finish VIP make your holiday special. We stayed in club altitude, couldn’t fault the service, food and attention to detail by everyone. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

We had a great week with the VIP team and were brilliantly looked after by Abby, Naomi, Cameron and Alistair. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the Chalet was brilliantly set up for our 1 year old. The location was great and we had a super holiday with our friends and the other lovely guests in the Chalet!

Another well-run VIP experience. Alastair was a very capable manager who led an enthusiastic and cheerful team (Abi, Naomi and Cameron) who were all welcoming and helpful. Liam the chef produced plenty of good quality cuisine throughout the week. Being up the hill, meant that the weds evening off provides some logistical issues with taxi’s being very expensive but its not insurmountable - and if thats the only drawback of being ski-in ski-out then i will take it any day! Only minor gripe was the fact that the sauna was out of action all week, which was more than a little disappointing. Have tried to rebook the Club Altitude Lodge again for last week in Feb for 2024 but it says its already booked up! Thank you for an enjoyable holiday.

As usual the room and chalet did not let us down, however there were a few things that weren’t as high level as previous stays… 1)Drinks availability. Only basic wines/beers available in the chalet. No spirits. We were told we could buy our own from town. It would have been handy to know this prior to arrival and things could have been bought from Duty Free, as the town is not walking distance. 2) Chef’s night off. This has not normally happened due to the location of the chalet and it was difficult to find somewhere to eat in town. An idea would be to have menus/restaurant info in the chalet so tables could be pre-booked. 3) Food. This was not as high standard as previously. It would have been nice to have a choice of mountain/French cuisine. Although I understand a lot of people may have eaten this for lunch, so maybe a lighter option could help too.

Chalet was 10/10, staff amazing and we had everything we needed. Wake up tea, coffee or hot chocolate was the best, never had this in a chalet before. My only change would be that my 15 year old boys had the Children's options for dinner but eat with us at 8pm, this is because my children are fussy eaters and nothing to do with the food as it was amazing! Plus 6pm is too early for the older boys to eat, my 12 year old did eat at 6pm with the other children and loved it! We will be booking again the same time, same chalet but I will make sure that I plan this before. The chalet manager did try to call me several times before we arrived so this is down to me not being organised and not the staff as they where amazing! Afternoon tea, dinner and drinks where 10/10 and so many options! Thank you Alistair and team!!!!!! x

The chalet location was ideal. We had a great room and the luxury of a private hottub. The VIP Team, led by Alastair, worked hard and were responsive to the guests requirements. They were always cheerful and friendly. The only thing we could suggest improving was having more fresh fruits, in particular bananas and oranges, over the bitter green apples that were the only fruit available for the last few days. We normally ski in the high French resorts above the tree line. We were concerned about the low altitude of Les Gets, but the snow was surprisingly good, because of the cold weather (below freezing most days) and very well groomed by the pisteurs. We really enjoyed ourselves skiing below the tree line in such a pretty location.

Once again a fabulous week, with lovely guests & helpful & friendly staff.

Great chalet. Warm, comfortable and spacious. Really well equipped with the best boot room I’ve ever seen !! Perfect location on the edge of the piste. Staff all attentive, keen and cheery at all times. Liam’s cooking is amazing and Al, Abigail, Naomi and Cam make a great team. Would come back with out hesitation. From the moment we were greeted so cheerfully at the airport our every need has been catered for. Thank you for a great week and brilliant weather .. even though that bit may have been out of your control !! Thank you

Alistair and the team at Altitude Lodge could not be faulted, very attentive and all our needs were met, nothing was too difficult and the chalet was spotless and the food outstanding! Would highly recommend.

I can't praise the VIP team highly enough. Alistair went way above and beyond to make sure we got to and from Avoriaz (no snow in Les Gets) at times to suit us and Liam and Jake cooked us endless delicious food, even an extra lunch on the last day. Nothing was too much trouble for the always-smiling Abi and her co-hosts Naomi and Luke. Loved the West Country quiz girls!

Average and certainly not VIP. We have been using VIP since 2017 and have been previously impressed and this is now our 4th time at Altitude lodge. We were initially delighted when the lodge became available after being at auction however the fact the lodge has not been updated in any part as I can see since our first visit that was disappointing. The fact that the chillers don’t work and you can’t access a cold beer or cold soft drink is really poor in the first instance in addition to this the fact the family/play room isn’t fully stocked with utensils for a nanny to cook for a child is pretty shocking leaving very little option but cold fridge food etc. This could be easily rectified by providing a fully equipped kitchen with the likes of a toaster and kettle ( albeit I appreciate these would have to be locked away for adult use only, similar to the lock system you have upstairs). Some maintenance certainly needs to take place, as your bar tap that you allow us to access isn’t fitted correctly nor do we have access to ice once the team have left for the evening. On a positive note… your staff are excellent. Alister especially is a huge asset to your team but I would also like to personally mention Abi, Namoi, Luke, Liam and Jake.

Very comfortable beds! It felt like a home away from home as soon as I stepped through the door. Staff were always accommodating and friendly and quick with service. The chef was outstanding with all vegan options and alternatives. It would have been helpful to have a little more information about each of the activities. One thing I would do next time that could have made it better is if we had prebooked our activities since a lot of things were booked up/it was hard to organise a big group. Would highly recommend and would come again!

A wonderful setting and experience made even better by Kristen and the amazing team at Altitude Lodge. Kristin and all of the team at Altitude were a triumph for us. Every single team member went above and beyond and we felt so well fed and looked after. Our kids hoped never to leave and our hosts were exceptionally attentive to them, playing with them and helping out all week. Our nanny was a delight and fit into the logistics seamlessly. No request was too onerous for them - we were chauffeured and catered for in every respect. VIP is so much worth the little extra that you pay for a stellar, wrap-around service. Great chalet too with amazing facilities - especially the spa stuff. Will certainly book again.

What is it that makes one ski company stand out from any other? For us it was being made to feel soooo at home! We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and like family whilst we stayed. We left knowing we would return! Nothing was too much, Kristin was BEYOND the perfect host organising everything even rescuing us late in the day when we skied beyond the lifts! Charlie and Emily made every meal perfect…candles? Music?… Fire pit in the snow? Liam our Masterchef wouldn’t fit in my suitcase so we had to leave him behind (sob!) …Victoria made the perfect sponge! (we were warned!) and together with Calum made the entire (second) stay absolutely seamless! Andy, Pippa, the entire VIP team …just WOW!!! We had such an amazing time. The chalet was lovely perfect position on the piste. Our room was amazing with a beautiful view, amazing balcony and hot tub to take in the view from the mountains. The chalet staff where incredible and nothing was too much for them, the food was great and very lovely with great variety etc. Cakes also make special mention for me :) Our nanny Florence was amazing and the kids absolutely loved her. Thank you for the most refreshing and amazing holiday - we will be back :)

Really fantastic sunny week skiing and boarding in the portes du soleil. Kristen’s team at Altitude lodge could not have done more to look after us. Liam and Gwen prepared amazing meals. The chalet staff were great with the kids, Charlie (uno champion) Tilly (forfeit queen) and Callum pours a lovely pint. Really great to come back to our favourite place. Thank you vip.

Due to BA at Heathrow our skis went missing but with no text or email we waited and waited at the Geneva Airport ski belt, we eventually established that BA had put our skies on a later flight. That’s when VIP’s Kristin and Pip came to the rescue getting us on our coach and then later on our arrival evening reunited us with our skis which they’d coordinated the collection of. From then on the holiday only got better and better with your amazing Les Gets Team not just doing what they said they’d do but exceeding service levels at every step. Callum, Charles and Tilley could not have been better and while we only saw Liam and Steph occasionally the food was great, all backed up by Kristin. The location and facilities at Club Altitude were superb. We can’t thank you enough, we’ve skiing 2 or 3 weeks a year for almost 40 years and this trip was amongst the best we’ve had thanks to your team at Les Gets - Kenny & Judith Anderson

Having not been for 7 years and returning with our 6 year old this time, Altitude Lodge definitely didn’t disappoint! The team that looked after us were amazing. Charlie's personality, energy and attention to detail was brilliant, Liam cooked delicious and plentiful food, not forgetting the wider team effort from Tilly, Callum and Steph. Everything was overseen by Kristin who was extremely helpful and a sound manager. The lodge has great ski in ski out facilities, very comfortable rooms, lovely hot tub and the VIP team did everything to ensure we had a brilliant time. Oh! and we had great skiing too!

What a fantastic week, a great welcome and a great experience from start to finish. Charlie, Callum, Kristen, Liam and Steph did everything they could to make our week special. Service was exceptional, food gorgeous and we also had great company in the chalet. The sun shone all week and the conditions were great, what more could we ask for. Thank you until the next time

From the moment we were greeted at the airport in Geneva to the moment we left the coach on the way back we received an exceptional experience from VIP ski. Altitude Lodge is in the perfect location right on the side of the piste and the chalet is modern, warm and cosy. The chalet hosts Tilly, Charlie and Callum were always on hand to give the best possible experience for our holiday, always going above and beyond expectations. The food during the week was exceptional so a special mention goes to Liam and Steph. The resort manager Kristen was also always around for anything that we needed, recommending and booking us a restaurant and taxis to and from Morzine for the Wednesday evening. All in all great service all round and we would definitely come back to the chalet with VIP in the future.

We had a fantastic family ski week with VIP in Les Gets. Absolutely brilliantly hosted, food was excellent and plentiful and the chalet is gorgeous. The staff bend over backwards to accommodate children of various ages and the VIP private nanny was fantastic. Special thanks to Kristen, Callum, Tilly and Charles!

I LOVE this chalet we have had an amazing holiday and I had a lot of fun skiing and building the dragon and the staff are very kind and helpful I loved the fire and s’mores on the last night this also gave me lots of inspiration for my next book Overall I enjoyed every moment of it an had a great experience

We really enjoyed our stay at Altitude Lodge. The staff really made our stay perfect; they were smiley, friendly, generally great to be around and made sure we had everything we wanted / needed. The lodge is in a perfect location, which was brilliant for our lessons! Kristin made sure we were organised with lessons and passes which was a real big help! Thank you so much Altitude Lodge team!

From start to finish we were welcomed into the chalet with open arms. The staff were so accommodating and approachable. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and most of all they were so friendly and made our holiday complete. Special mentions to Charlie, Tilly, Callum and Liam who did everything to be helpful and put us at ease. All credit goes to Kristin the manager for her hard work, helpfulness and presence around the building. The fire pit on the last evening with the staff was an extra special touch. You guys are awesome, keep doing what you’re doing. Cannot fault you, we’ll be back!

What a fantastic team, led by Kristin, starting with her ringing me before departure to check that we had everything/any special requests etc. Pick up at Geneva and transfer to the Lodge was smooth/seamless with the team of Emma, Emily, Liam, Charles and Callum waiting to greet us and 'ease' us into the Lodge., with nice touches such as, they had arranged for the Ski Shop to stay open, so that the equipment could be obtained that evening. It was my birthday when there and Liam's birthday cake was the best I have had, while his cooking through out the week was also excellent. The 'front' service throughout from Charles, Emma, Emily, Callum was first rate and complimented the cuisine and nothing was too much trouble, including the birthday balloons. So with a ski in/out Lodge, well presented rooms, sauna, hot tub and with Kristin's team, what an excellent holiday and birthday made by them all. All the best, Ian

We throughly enjoyed our time at Altitude Lodge. The Chalet is perfectly situated on the slopes so you can ski in and ski out. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and made us feel right at home. The food was excellent. Our room was really comfortable with a hot tub on the balcony which had amazing panoramic views. Would throughly recommend.

First impressions were great, all the staff were there to meet us and their friendliness immediately made us feel welcome. This continued throughout our week, they were attentive and nothing was too much for them. Great food, great location near the piste and hot tubs put the icing on the cake. Kristen is an excellent manager and has got the balance between friendly and professional for both her and the Hosts' just right. Thanks for going that extra mile and making it a great experience! My second time in les altitudes, Kristen the manager very kind and thoughtful, Charlie guest liaison, really on it and organised, very personable and lots of fun, tilly always sunny callam charming, and Liam our chef extrodinare and greatest endorsement from my French instructor who was blown away by the food at the chalet, I was alone there but never lonely, great cakes from Emma.

We have stayed at Altitude Lodge on many occasions, so were thrilled when VIP brought it back into their portfolio and It didn’t disappoint. Kristin, and her team, provide the ultimate VIP experience in this truly unique club chalet. Everything was first class. Warm, friendly hosts, brilliant chef, stunning setting and the best weather ever: blue skies and sunshine every day….in January! The rooms are immaculate and the food! Liam wowed us every night. Airport transfers were comfortable and efficient. After the trials of the last 2 years, this was truly, heaven on earth. Thank you, VIP. Nobody does it better.

Having started out on the wrong foot with London based management we were blown away by our staff at the chalet, kirsten manager amazing, Charlie our day to day host couldn't do enough for us and all with a cheeky smile, even helped us with forms to get back in UK, the rest of the gang lovely and upbeat, food best chef we've ever had with vip. Definitely a wonderful holiday enhanced by best pre Christmas snow in decades and beautiful sunshine, les altitudes is a must, can't wait to go again.
