I have been so impressed by our holiday with VIP. Ollie, our chalet host, has been amazing. Nothing has been too much trouble and it almost feels as if he has become a member of our family. His quiz was so much fun and his cooking has been delicious and exemplary- I have learnt a number of new recipes from him! We would personally like to thank him for making our holiday so special and such fun. Anabel, the chalet manager, has also been brilliant. She has managed all aspects of our holiday for us: was extremely proactive, calling us beforehand and helping with all elements including sorting out ski school issues. We have loved the collecting and dropping off skis, boots etc… such a lovely touch which makes all the difference. Thank you for making our holiday so special - we will definitely book again with VIP

Selina was a wonderful host at Aspen House, her attention to detail and dedication to the visitor experience was excellent, and we were very well supported by the resort and concierge team also.

We traveled as a 4 to Val D for the third time, and this was our favourite stay yet. The facilities were great, beds comfy, and rooms cleaned daily. The food was great, breakfast plentiful and 3 courses at night the perfect way to wind down after a day on the slopes. Our chalet host Selina was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and she was bubbly and personable the entire way through, a real credit to VIP ski. Will happily return.

The chalet enjoyed a great location just a few minutes walk to the slopes, and also right in the top part of Val d”Isere town. Clean, modern with 3 bedrooms a kitchen plus dining area and lounge which were all very spacious. Our chalet host was excellent. Selena was extremely pleasant and easy going and made us feel very much at home. She looked after everything and wanted to ensure anything we required was catered for. Food and wine were really good and the “honesty bar” for extras such as beer was a handy idea. Annabelle the Manager visited every evening to check all OK and was brilliant on recommending venues and asking the concierge to book us restaurants and tables. I guess the only slight niggle was the outgoing transfer from Geneva which was delayed due to an incoming flight and also waiting for the coach. Once we arrived in Val our suitcases etc. were brought up to our rooms for us (and likewise on the return) which saved some effort!. We would have zero hesitation in booking again. Lastly … thanks so much once again to the whole Team involved.

Val d'Isere lives up to its reputation delivering excellent snow and sunny weather. Perfect apartment--warm, comfortable and spacious--less than a minute from the lifts. Superb food and exceptional service from everyone at VIPski. It's in the small details. Impossible to fault.

An amazing chalet with an incredible host Selina who prepared breakfast and dinner to a high standard and kept the chalet in pristine condition. We thoroughly have enjoyed our stay, nothing was too much trouble and all staff were very accommodating.

We had an incredible week at Aspen House. Selina was an amazing host-such a fantastic cook with incredible attention to detail. The chalet was immaculate and we were spoilt rotten. Polly was brilliant too on Selina’s days off. Everything was seamless and had been thought about, which made our stay really relaxing.

Loved the chalet - Aspen House is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the piste. As always everything was very efficient from the pre-departure call to the delivery of our hire skis to the boot room. But what sets VIP apart is their staff - our chalet host Selina was delightful, nothing was too much trouble and the food she produced was always delicious.

Fantastic, we needed a wake up drinks every day option on the sheet.

This is our 8th VIP holiday and as with every single time, we have had an incredible holiday. No cons at all to a VIP holiday, but plenty of pros: location of Aspen House is just a minutes walk from the slopes; food is delicious, flexible and generous; the hot tub and spa area is fab. Chalet, food and location aside it’s the staff who make the holiday. Annabel has been a welcoming and thoughtful chalet manager and Joe has been a phenomenal host this week, supported by Selina: the food has been outstanding, the chalet always clean and tidy, and nothing seemed any trouble. From adhoc pizza making to Joe’s special ingredient chocolates the week has been truly unforgettable! I think it’s fairly likely that we will be finding an excuse to come out again this season! Thank you VIP team for your consistently first class holidays. We can’t wait to return!

Our marvellous & entertaining chalet hosts, Hannah & Michaela welcomed us from the moment we arrived. From champagne and canapés waiting for us when we walked in the door, to our morning wake up drinks, the yummie breakfasts (with all of us having different requests), afternoon tea to tempt us and rounding off the day with a delicious dinner - what more could we ask for. The chalet is superbly located, close to the slopes and the town centre. As a non skier on this trip there is plenty to explore in Val d'Isere, as well as making the most of the spa in Aspen House. It is easy to get the lifts to the top of the mountain to meet the family for lunch.

From the moment we arrived until our sad farewell Michaela and Hannah were amazing. Tremendous food, perfect service and most importantly, really great company. Concierge was fab for our every need, from opening times to lunchtime bookings to pick ups at the end of the day. Ski hire in the boot room was brilliant. Aspen House is the best location in Val. A great holiday with spectacular snow conditions. Thank you.

We (2 adults, 1 child and 2 twin infants) had a great trip from start to finish. The private transfer to Val D was quick (2h45m) and the chalet was spacious yet cosy, located very close to the slopes. The food was of a very good standard - certainly notches above typical chalet catering. They were also very flexible to accommodate both split dinner times for our children (late afternoon) and us & age appropriate meals. All prior arrangements went to plan - equipment, lift passes, lessons and the all important full time nanny (Lucy, who we hope to have next year too!). The concierge service was also a bonus for making things like restaurant reservations or getting advice. We give an unreserved recommendation!

Perfectly located chalet, expertly hosted by Ollie who looked after us exceptionally well. A great lad for VIP Ski to employ.

Lovely chalet and friendly staff. Food was delicious and wine choice was good. However, inconsistent house keeping (no shower gel, loo rolls not replenished, rooms not always cleaned & items available on special request not made clear)

Lucked out with Aspen number 3. Not only right next to the church but the apartment living room had an outstanding view to the Face behind it. Easy walks around town. Combine that with wonderful staff and great conditions, hard to see how it could be improved. Only downside would be the time we had to wait during transits but the extra time built in meant the coach drivers never seemed rushed which can be a concern. Built in buffer therefore understandable and important.

Overall very good. Comfortable, very well located chalet. Great service from Jess who is a first class, personable host, a good cook and good fun. Charlie dealt efficiently with the logistics including a late change of plan when one of our party had to delay arrival by two days. Two small niggles: first, it was disappointing that there was no flexi cover on Jess' day off. We didn't mind having to get our own breakfast or eating out in the evening. But it was irksome to get up on Wednesday morning and have to clear glasses and cups from the previous evening, unload and re-load the dishwasher and again at the end of the day. A quick 30 minute visit during the day could have covered this. Second, we asked the concierge service to book a table on our last day. The request was submitted at least 24 hours in advance but it appears that the call was not made and we couldn't get a table at our preferred restaurant. Another restaurant was suggested and we were told that a table was available. But when we confirmed 20 minutes later, we were told that the table had gone. We made our own arrangements. These are only small niggles but when we are paying a premium price for premium service, the details matter.

Was greeted by all as we got off the coach. Jess our chalet host cooked us some lovely meals. Sauna and jacuzzi were welcome to relax the tired legs. All in all a lovely stay with some lovely people. Thank you all.

Great chalet, lively resort, good skiing and fab food prepared by our lovely hostess Jess . So lovely to have our skis and ski passes sorted quickly and delivered to our chalet. We’ll be back!

We stayed at Aspen House for a week as a group of four adults and two teens. The property was clean, modern, spacious and the communal space worked well for our group. The location was great - just a couple of minutes walk to the slopes. Our chalet hosts, Jess and Louise, were superb - always cheery and helpful, good resort knowledge and great cooks. The concierge team were incredibly responsive and helpful with booking restaurants for lunches etc which made for an even better stay. Good spa facilities were much enjoyed at the end of the day. Overall, about as perfect as we could of hoped for … we would definitely recommend Aspen House and will book with VIP Ski again.

We have used VIP chalets many times in the past and they never disappoint, with efficient transfers and high quality chalets. Aspen house is perfectly situated in Val and the cgi images used to promote the accommodation were pretty close to reality. A convenient boot room for storing skis and boots was ideally located on the ground floor and the slopes were only a few minutes walk away. Our chalet host Lucy is lovely and looked after us and kept us incredibly well fed and watered - thanks Lucy! When we arrived we were greeted with tea, coffee and cookies and our rooms were spacious clean and very comfortable. Lift passes were delivered to us in the chalet with no problems and our walk to the nearby Intersport was quick and painless to pick up our skis. Each room had its own en suite shower and we had fresh cake and bread every day which was superb. The 'basic' level wine was more than adequate for us and we never ran dry. If I had a complaint (which I don't) it would be more of a suggestion, The fireplace is not a fire, it's a display fake fire that provides no heat and a dubious attempt at being a fire using sound and water vapour. Funny really but not an ideal choice for such an otherwise high spec. chalet. The spa downstairs took a lot of the muscle pain out of our legs after a hard day and we really enjoyed it. The jacuzzi was pretty big and suited us well! Possibly the 2 euro charge for beers and soft drinks wasn't really necessary so we went out and bought our own in the local expensive spar supermarket . The food was exceptional, Lucy did a great job accomodating vegetarian options and a nut allergy. The champagne and canapés on the first and last nights were such a treat. In all honesty we loved it all, I think that in terms of the town Tignes is better for being out, but then why go out when you have free wine all night. We will be back to VIP of course!

Thank you so much to Tessa and the VIP team for another fab week. We loved Aspen House, but the lower number of green runs means we'll likely be with you in the Three Valleys again next year!

Where do I begin.... There are so many things I could write for this review, so as to not bore whomever reads this I have split this spiel into 3 manageable sections: Food - Michelin star service is by no means a stretch..... for where we ate out for lunch each day! Joking aside, the food in Aspen has been unbelievable from start to finish, with our very own Nigela Lawson and guest appearances from Gordan Ramsey (Tessa and Toby respectively) testing and widening our pallets throughout the course of our visit. Wednesday evening was a down point of our trip for the sole reason of not being able to look forward to the expert cooking later that night! However this was more than made up for with the afternoon tea spread all week ... our wastelines are furious!!! Accommodation - a home away from home! As clean as a quarantine ward, as comfortable as David Attenborough's voice and as stylish as Bowie and Jagger in the 'Dancing in the street' music video (if you fancy a laugh please watch!). The chalet itself had attributes comparable to a starfish - despite our best efforts in messing it up, it always returned to its original gleaming state by the time we came back from our day out skiing. Some may call this magic - we just called it Tessa! Above and beyond - despite this being a 'family holiday', the young in our crowd wished to spread their wings and venture further than the confines of Aspen after our evening's indulgences. Little did we know that in addition to the professionalism of our hosts during work hours, laid guides to Val D'Isere's bustling night life. Noticing the uncomfortable mood in the chalet after the young crowd had passed the Folie Douce at 4pm on the Tuesday and had not entered the premises; Tessa and Toby made it their mission to spice up their evening and offered to meet in the foyer a few hours later with the promise of a good night. After a stint in a bar with an unremembered name and an embarrassing dance number in 'DouDouns', the rest was history and the day that followed was one to forget! Needless to say that they took hosting to the next level and we couldn't have been happier with the experience! All in all, we would like to say a huge thank you to our hostess and host (+ Meg for her outstanding Apple Crumble on Friday night) for an amazing stay.
