Penthouse Misha

We have just had the most amazing week in penthouse Misha in the fabulous Bear lodge. A big family holiday with a range of ages, our fantastic chalet hosts Sam & Alice catered for all without any fuss. All the meals and afternoon cookies and cakes were delicious. The resort is perfect for skiers of all abilities and the instructors at the ski schools were great. We can’t wait to come back.

The whole team at VIP Ski were exceptional from start to finish. In our lodge we were looked after by Sam and Alice. They were both personable, polite and great cooks! As a father of two young boys we kept Sam and Alice on their toes and they accommodated all our requests in a cool and calm manner. They also accommodated dietary requirements very very well. Can’t praise them enough or the facilities. The ski in ski out is incredible. Lastly my boys were looked after so well in the bear club. Big thanks to Anna and the team for our picture updates and care for the boys.

Fabulous chalet hosts, brilliant childcare. Really comfortable accommodation and great facilities and service. 3 generations all catered for and all had a really lovely holiday!

A really great holiday in a really great chalet! Our chalet hosts were brilliant - but a special mention has to go to Alice who consistently went the extra mile! The chalet itself was excellent - certainly the best we’ve stayed in. Being co-located in a hotel is real bonus and access to the pistes was great. My only gripe was that the shower was seriously underpowered. I suspect this might be a sustainability measure designed to reduce water consumption. If so, you should make this explicit.

Just some suggestions: Get some proper bacon & sausages Some alternatives to breakfast Curry night Bedrooms are too warm. Thermostat can't be set below 18 meaning you have to leave the balcony door open to cool it which is wasteful of energy. Ski servicing (waxing etc) through the hotel would be welcome

Knowing the team have got everything thought through and prepared makes for a fantastic holiday experience. Thanks to Lottie and Alice for looking after us, and the whole team for their customer first approach

Penthouse Misha was ideal for our holiday group-12 persons from age 76 to 14 months, beautifully located for skiers, ski school( with small classes) and non- skiers with easy access to centre of 1950 and 2000, and with good pool, sauna etc, massages, cinema and bar. All VIP staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Best of all were our chalet hosts- Alice, Lottie and, helping part time, Ellie. They looked after us all very well and were always cheerful, interesting and charming - great personalities and great with the children.

Having had a fantastic experience with VIP at Bear Lodge last year, we booked for the whole family to go this year and stay at penthouse Misha for my mother in law’s ‘special’ birthday. The whole 5 days were just fabulous. Alice, Lottie and Amy-Rose looked after all 13 of us so well. The chalet was beautiful; very spacious with fabulous views of the mountains overlooking 1950. Dinners every evening were delicious and our chalet hosts did such a good job of making the holiday special (baking a cake for my mother in law and serving with candles!). Olivia the resort manager was also very attentive and sorted out an initial issue with our kids Ski School for us. What makes Bear Lodge so great for families though is Bear Club. The nannies just fabulous, thank you to Jess and Christina for looking after our 4 and 2 year old so amazingly (our 4 year old cried when we left as she wanted to go back to Bear Club!). It was a very special and memorable trip..thank you VIP!

Stayed in the Misha suite with my family for my mum’s birthday and the entire experience was nothing short of fantastic. The slopes were amazing, the venue stunning, but the best thing for me was our hosts, Alice, Lottie and Amy-Rose went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and everyone was looked after. I can’t praise them enough, especially with 4 kids under 10 to look after on top of 9 ‘adults’. Cannot wait to come back!

Excellent chalet and brilliant chalet hosts. Accommodation is fantastic - loads of space, very comfortable and superb location. Ski in ski ski out is awesome and Bear Lodge facilities are excellent. All the food was fantastic and the hosts were attentive and accommodating. We had a great time and every one of us would love to come back to this chalet and resort again. Our chalet hosts were friendly and really flexible. They struck the perfect balance of chatting with us and being discreet and letting us get on with our holiday. Congratulations to Ellie and Lucy for being wonderful hosts and chefs. We were in awe of how they managed to plate up food for 10 in the small kitchen. Food was excellent and always bang on time and delicious. There were are few small things that we would like to feedback for improvements. We had some room and towel confusion on arrival and on towel change day - despite me speaking to Ally a few days in advance and letting her know how many guests would be in each room and how to set each room up, there were the wrong number of towels in each room and every room was set up as a double, despite me asking for room 1 to be set up as 2 single beds. It was a small thing, but annoying as I had made the effort to let her know which rooms were to be single occupants and which were to be pairs and which were couples. Its no big hassle to swap towels around, but the fact that room 1 was set up as a double meant that one of our guests slept in the bunk beds which are not full size beds. The other consequence was that one of our guests who recently lost her husband had two towels and robes in her room, which upset her on arrival as it reminded her of her loss. Other little things - It says on the website that toiletries are provided. In other chalets we have had hair conditioner and moisturiser provided, and as a result we didn’t bring them with us and had to go buy them. It would be good to be more explicit about what is provided. The website also says that a cup of tea is provided in the morning to your room - this was not offered. No biggy - but maybe update the website so it doesn’t set unrealistic expectations. The TV/satellite reception wasn’t working for several days and even once it was fixed in the living room, it still didn’t work in at least one of the bedrooms. Last tiny thing - there was something stuck on the bannister of the stairs (dried food probably) and there was a drink spill on the stairs when we arrived and all week. Didn’t make any difference to our enjoyment, but a few of us noticed it.

Thank you yet again VIP for giving us all a fabulous experience. Great chalet, food, kids club and skiing. Special thanks to Ellie, Casper and Lucy who looked after us and all the girls in bear cubs. Great chalet in a great ski/in out location. First class service and very good value for money as a last minute booking. Ellie and Lily looked after us very well all week with some lovely meals. Note to VIP. Showers in chalet sometimes ran lukewarm in evening, but were fine in the morning so you may want to check that !! Not enough to spoil a great trip though !! Thanks everyone

We have had a fabulous week in Penthouse Misha. Yaz and Beth were amazing hosts and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Whilst the holiday wasn't missing anything, as the building is new we thought it may be helpful to identify a few (very minor) things we thought may have been useful: 1. a clock in the spa, 2. blankets to use on the sofa in the evenings, 3. Baked beans on the cooked breakfast menus. The chalet/Bear Lodge, is a great location and has clearly been well thought out in terms of the boot room/ski hire on site. We have truly been spoilt the last week and will certainly recommend VIP ski to anyone.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Theo, Louie, Katie and the rest of the VIP Hosting team for making our trip so special. We cannot give any less than 10/10 for the hospitality and care shown to us throughout our stay High quality meals, fantastic accomodation and excellent facilities. Our three hosts exceeded all expectations while looking after us, Theo and Louie even joining us for a ski and luge session on our final afternoon. Would definitely recommend VIP SKI for anyone looking for a fantastic alpine experience Keep up the brilliant work

The standard of the chalet was excellent and an ideal location for ski in ski out. The staff across the lodge were great. Louis, Theo and Katie ensured we wanted for nothing over the week. The food was superb and the three of them were very friendly and professional. All round great week skiing made better by the chalet staff.

Really VIP Service on this holiday. We were a group of 12 middle aged men which had stayed in different ski resorts accross Europe the last 15 years. This was by far the best service and accomondation we had so far. Rooms were spacious and staff was very friendly.

Not a lot to say about this other than it was fantastic. The facilities and accommodation were top notch and the staff were very good. I would thoroughly recommend bear lodge to other people.

Had an amazing time, the staff were wonderful and always helpful and the facilities clean and well maintained. The wellness centre was a perfect end to a skiing day.

The apartment and the employees were amazing .
