Suite Grizzly

From arrival to departure and everything in between has been fabulous. All the team have made us feel very welcome and nothing has been too much trouble. Our chalet host Tristan was fabulous and made appropriate meals to suit our dietary requirements. The chalet was fab had everything and more to make our stay very comfortable after a day on the slopes. Katie, Georgia and Izzy was also great when they covered for Tristan. Don’t know everyone’s names but everyone team member we spoke too were super helpful. We’ve absolutely loved our stay and we’re blessed with lots of snow. Thank you Jo & Richard

Can’t fault anything, collection at the airport, arrival at the Chalet and introductions to our great chalet staff. The location and service levels are second to none. Very happy first experience with VIP ski.

Great chalet. Tristan, Izzy and Tom did a brilliant job looking after us all. Lovely food and nothing was too much for them.

The chalet worked very well for our group and all of the parts of skiing that are inconvenient had been thought of and reduced or eliminated. The service in the chalet was great from both our main host and others that filled in.

Another wonderful stay at Bear Lodge and suite Grizzly!! Everything about the chalet, facilities and accommodation was superb. Our chalet hosts Triston and Ellie were also excellent.

The Bear Resort has been wonderful to stay at and Suite Grizzly was the perfect set up for our group of 8. VIP Chalet service was also superb, with Amy and Tristan being the perfect hosts. They were welcoming, fantastic with the 4 children in our group and even did some babysitting for us. The only downside was the food. This is no slight on our hosts, I just feel that the menu probably exceeded their culinary abilities. Breakfast, afternoon cakes and deserts were always fantastic, but the evening main courses consistently fell short with a variety of inedible overcooked meat, undercooked meat and fish. This was disappointing given the cost of the holiday, but this is the only negative.

Thank you for a fantastic week Les Arcs 1950. Our family loved our stay in Grizzly Suite, Bear Lodge - excellent slopeside location, comfortable accommodation and great facilities. Special thanks to our amazing chalet host, Tristan, for the hospitality - super friendly, professional and talented at whipping up delicious meals for kids and adults alike. Our kids especially loved Tristan's baking and have asked if we can take him with us on our next chalet holiday! Thanks also to Katie and the management team at Bear Lodge for ensuring everyone has a great week. Our only suggestion for future guests with kids would be to ask VIPSKI to book ski school with ESF as it has an affiliation with VIP & Bear Lodge. Unfortunately we weren't aware of this affiliation - instead we booked through Evolution 2 and wouldn't recommend their kids' ski school or Yeti Lunch Club.

Once again a wonderful week in Arc 1950. From the moment we arrived we have had our every need attended to, great food and drink, easy access to skiing, helpful cheerful staff. Our chalet host, Lily was just amazing, cheerful, and smiling every morning and evening. She looked after our dietary requirements and our fussy children with ease. The ski lesson groups were lovely and small, which allowed the children to progress well. All the other staff we met with were also happy cheerful and helpful. Well done VIP on a class act!

Our 4th time with VIP ski but 1st time at Bear Lodge and will definitely be returning. The set up is fantastic for families … our 3 kids super happy and our youngest (2) had a ball in the kids club with Sarah Nutter who went above and beyond to look after him and he as helpful as possible to ensure we had a great break. Kids enjoyed skiing all day and then the pool was an added bonus in the afternoons! Thanks to Jordan for checking in with us so many time to see what we needed.

Excellent Food, superb location, accommodation and hosts. Would much prefer a package including charter flights and coach transfer to meet arrival as in previous holidays with VIP. It was troublesome to find flights to match the transfer coach times resulting in long waits both ways.

This has been one of our best skiing holidays! The accommodation is beautiful and located amazingly. The village is so pretty and has a good selection of bars and restaurants. The facilities at the hotel are great. Our chalet hosts, Bel and Lily, were incredible: delicious cooking, reliable, friendly, helpful! All of the staff that we met were super friendly

We have all had a fab ski holiday, benefiting from a great chalet and fantastic hosts (Lily and Bel). The chalet hotel is a great combination, providing us with our own space whilst also having access to the hotel pool and leisure facilities. The ski hire and lessons for the hotel guests were also a hit.

Has a great. Bear Lodge combined the privacy of a chalet with the facilities of a hotel with good bar, wellness centre and support. Excellent ski in/ ski out location and beautiful views, lovely chalet and well looked after by our chalet hosts

We had an amazing holiday. Huge thank you to Nia and Lily for being great hosts, cooking such amazing food and looking after us all week with our various requests for children’s paracetamol, lost iPads, ski route suggestions, etc. Chalet is lovely and spotless. Thank you.

We had an amazing week staying at Bear Lodge in the Grizzly Suite. The attention to detail in the chalet was outstanding which made it a home from home for the week. The amenities in the lodge were great including the swimming pool, bar and cinema. What made our holiday even better was the childcare facilities, the girls were amazing with the kids and they loved going every day which made it easier for us to get out and enjoy the skiing. The ski in and ski out set up and location of the chalet was perfect. Our chalet hosts were unbelievable and nothing was ever too much for them. They also supplied us with great food and the afternoon cakes were delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy every aspect of their skiing holiday. We hope to be back again soon.

First time skiing with 3 children and we wouldn’t change a thing about this resort. So easy and super accessible for everything. So laid back a real home from home. Massive thanks to Lily - what a host! So attentive; excellent chef, lovely food and great with the kids. Lucy and Henry were also lovely and really helpful. Thanks guys! We’ll be back

We have had an amazing stay in the Grizzly Suite. Lily, together with Lucy and Henry, looked after us so well. They made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble (which is great when travelling with kids). Lily adapted food to suit the kids and they loved her note left with afternoon tea. The food was lovely - a really good variety and quality. We enjoyed the wine and they was plenty of it! The accommodation was perfect for our families - plenty of space, really comfy beds and enough storage (although some hooks for coats near the door would be helpful). Having access to such a nice spa area was a big bonus too. We loved how easy it was to add on extras like ski hire, lessons etc. and booking a restaurant on Lily’s day off was all sorted for us (which was a great recommendation - Nonna Lisa). Overall, just a fantastic place to stay as two families skiing with young kids. We really hope to be back!

The grizzly suite was lovely although the upstairs bedroom has NO hanging wardrobe Plenty of room for one so needs sorting. Lily was brilliant as was Belle Poor welcome from Murray when we arrived, he looked grumpy and disinterested Mark and all the others were good though

We loved our catered chalet with VIPSki les arcs 1950- attentive staff, delicious food and excellent facilities. It is actually a real ski in/ski out … Everything to make your ski holiday fun and easy has been thought through - from ski/board hire, ski/board storage, excellent level of comfort in the chalet & clean/well maintained building. We loved the pool! We would highly recommend the team and the great facilities at Arc1950.

Having a 'chalet' within the Bear Lodge complex was perfect for us. It was very special to have the privacy and intimacy of our own (very spacious and high spec) suite enhanced by access to the wider facilities of the hotel. The swimming pool was an especially big hit for our family with young kids. We found Bear Lodge's location to be excellent: extremely handy ski-in and out with great access to some of Paradiski's best skiing, plus an easy and short walk to the attractive Arc 1950 village centre. Lily was a super hostess: highly conscientious, friendly and capable. All in all, VIP's package in which they do all the work for you is pretty hard to beat.

The hotel was lovely

This was our first skiing holiday with our 20 month old daughter. We had previously been with VIP to Avoriaz so knew what to expect but we were so impressed with the level of childcare our daughter received. Her Nanny Alex was excellent and built a really strong bond with our daughter. Daily trips to the village, painting, cooking, yummy hot chocolates, picture updates throughout the day and an adorable “my first holiday journal” to top it all off. Bear Cubs nursery also provided a great base for easy drop of and pick ups being on the 4th floor of the hotel. Our hosts Hannah and Izzy were also lovely, my only feedback for VIP would be to have 2 chalet hosts on arrival as it was a lot for Hannah to manage on her own. I also think the chalets needed to have additional tableware, we were often running out as I think it had been shared between chalets before our stay.

An excellent holiday enjoyed by the whole family. We have already booked again for 2023. The whole experience from arranged private transport from the airport to arrival at the resort, chalet host, departure, etc was well organised, professional and friendly. A couple of suggestions/observations; Ice buckets in the chalet along with ice. Clock in swimming pool area. Dimmer switches in lounge/dining areas of chalet. Remove old masking tape from painted areas on balcony and paint pot ring on floor. More rubber matting on snow outside boot room. Fix the steam room. It didn’t work the whole time we were there. A more “French” feel to the bar area would be nice. Catches to enable bedroom windows to be fixed open without creaking in the wind. Please take these as they are intended. Not criticism but suggestions. I do understand that this is the first season and a few things will change with experience. As stated already, we have booked again for next year.

We have had a fabulous stay at Suite Grizzly( Bear lodge) and it surpassed what we were expecting. The accommodation was very comfortable and the position on the edge of the piste made it 100% ski in ski out. Hanna our chalet host made us feel at home she was so welcoming and was wonderful with our 2 grandsons ( 6 & 3). Nothing was too much trouble for her including making the boys pancakes for breakfast. The food she cooked for us was delicious ( I need to mention Kate & Emily who also helped to look after us were also great) & I’m sure I’m going home way heavier than I arrived! The accommodation is perfect for a family such as ours 4 adults & 2 children as there was lots of space and at no time did we feel cramped ( which can sometimes happen in ski accommodation. There was lots of storage which was also a bonus compared to previous chalets we have stayed in. The only thing missing was somewhere to hang our wet ski gear. Bear Lodge is perfect for families with a large heated pool which our boys loved( they were in everyday) a hot tub, steam room & sauna. They also enjoyed the cinema. Our 3 year old went to Bear Cubs child care which he loved. He had lots of fun playing inside and outside & they even took him in the bubble up the mountain for hot chocolate. The staff were so friendly & caring. The 6 year old went to ski school in the mornings also organised by VIP. The instructor came to meet him at the entrance & dropped him off here as well at the end of the lesson which meant no trudging with equipment which was an added bonus. We pre ordered our ski hire and again this was waiting for us in the boot room when we arrived so no having to go out to the shop to try on boots etc. we were able to get fitted and then put them straight into our ski locker. Again at the end of our stay we gave our equipment back to the guy in the boot room so no carrying equipment back to the village this is an excellent service. The ski locker had boot warmers so our boots were lovely & warm & dry in the mornings. The ski locker is in the boot room which has a door straight out onto the piste & then it is an easy ski down to a choice of 3 chair lifts which then give you access to the huge ski area of Les Arcs.We have had such a great time we have already booked to come back next year to suite Grizzly.Thank you to all the Bear Lodge team we will see you next year.

The service was incredible and hannah, our chalet host, was amazing. it was such a welcoming and wholesome experience and i would definitely recommend it to others as it was the best ski holiday i’ve been on in terms of service and the bear lodge experience. the chalets are so nice and you can tell they are taken care of so well. in addition, the food was incredible and so much better than i expected, i really liked how they told us the meals we were going to have in advance so we could decide we wanted vegetarian or normal. the wellness centre was also a highlight of the experience for me because it was so relaxing and has lovely scents and calm music, i also love how the towels were provided and there was water for after. also, the staff were so kind and interactive which made a huge difference and stood out from other places. overall it was such a good holiday and there were so many aspects which added to the experience.

What an incredible holiday. I have done ski holidays for 25 years and this was right up there! The Bear lodge has been designed with absolutely everything thought through to make your holiday more enjoyable. It is the future of skiing holidays. I would never now use any other holiday company. The staff are exemplary. The customer service is thoroughly thought through and it is so effortless. We had Hannah look after us and she was incredible, her food was stunning and great company. I am rebooking for next year. Thankyou
