VIP SKI Seasonnaires Host Fundraiser for Snow Camp Charity

POSTED:

At VIP SKI, we believe in giving back to the communities and causes that share our passion for the mountains. We're thrilled to announce that our dedicated seasonal staff in Val d'Isere and Les Arcs have organised a special fundraising event to support Snow Camp, a charity that transforms young lives through snow sports.

About Snow Camp

Snow Camp uses a unique combination of snowsports, life skills sessions, vocational training and volunteering to support underserved young people. Their innovative programmes help participants develop crucial life skills while experiencing the thrill and joy of snow sports - something many would never have the opportunity to try otherwise.

Our Fundraising Event

Our seasonnaires have put together an exciting challenge that combines their love for the mountains with their commitment to making a difference:

Date: Week of 13th April

Location: VIP SKI chalets in Val d'Isere and Bear Lodge ski hotel in Arc 1950

Time: Between work shifts throughout the week

Every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, no matter their background.

The Challenge

Our incredible seasonnaires will be taking on a monumental treadmill challenge. Staff at each resort will collectively run the full distance of their ski area!

What this means in numbers:

  • Paradiski (Les Arcs) team: Collectively running the full 425km of the Paradiski ski area
  • Val d'Isère team: Collectively running the full 300km of the Val d'Isère ski area
  • Running between shifts: Our dedicated staff will be squeezing in their kilometres between work responsibilities throughout the week
  • Total distance: A combined 725km - equivalent to completing 17 marathons back-to-back!
  • Calories burned: The teams will burn approximately 47,000 calories - that's about 188 slices of tarte tatin!
  • Steps taken: Roughly 900,000 steps will be taken to complete the challenge - enough to climb the Eiffel Tower 461 times...

Other Fundraising Activities

Nannies Bake Sale: Featuring homemade treats baked by our talented nannies.
Grand National Sweepstake: An opportunity for our guests to enjoy the excitement of the Grand National on Saturday 5th April whilst supporting a fantastic cause.

How You Can Help

Whether you're currently enjoying a stay with VIP SKI or planning a future visit, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor our teams. Every pound and euro raised goes to Snow Camp!

By donating to this charity, we're helping to ensure that more young people can experience the transformative power of snow sports, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Join Us In Making A Difference

We invite all our guests, partners, and friends to join us in supporting this wonderful initiative. Together, we can help Snow Camp continue their vital work, introducing more young people to the joy, confidence, and life skills that come from experiencing the mountains.

VIP SKI is proud to support Snow Camp and other organisations that are committed to making snow sports accessible to all. To learn more about Snow Camp and their programmes, please visit snowcamp.org.uk.
