Chalet Ossetra

The one thing you can’t put a price on is the ability to really relax and enjoy yourself while away. VIP resort staff did all our thinking for us from the moment we got off the plane. Nothing was too much trouble, we were always greeting with a smile and a kind word. Thank you to our chalet host Lauren and resort manager Henry. They made our holiday.

Our first time staying in a catered chalet and in avoriaz. Couldn’t fault either! We have been superbly looked after by Lauren and Mali, and expertly steered through the holiday by Henry.

Wonderful experience. VIP team especially Brendan first class. Food fabulous. A few suggestions: - High quality fluffy bathrobes and slippers would be good. - An in chalet spa treatment menu particularly for non-skiers. - VIP recommends list for resort ski runs, restaurants and must do activities. Possibly in an app. - Agreement of menu in advance of trip. We were only asked about dietary. Option to have something different other than turkey on Xmas day. - Advice about resort given on bus transfer to resort. We got no info not even about snow forecast.

Anyone staying in Ossetra, with the most fabulous Kelliot (supper host) will have a wonderful time.The view is captivating from this beautifully appointed home from home. The food, service and entertainment all excellent, the riddles are a bonus. Nothing was too much trouble for the VIP family, shout out to the wonderful Sam and Kristan. "Ski in ski out" is as true as it's ever been. Will be coming back, thank you VIP SKI.

Avoriaz is a great resort. Good blend of bars, restaurants and après. The snow that came on Friday was much needed. Ski hire team at skimium were knowledgeable and helpful with a good range of hire options. Again, very conveniently located from the chalet. Ossetra is great modern chalet, with all the mod cons but still retains that alpine charm. The location and view is incredible! Who doesn't love a ski in /ski out!?! The VIP team were fantastic, attentive and punctual. Ah Kelliot! Our lovely, rhyfeddol, chalet host. So kind and accommodating and someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people, and it shows! We have had a fabulous week being looked after by Kelly, ably assisted by Carlie. Fabulous new chalet with comfy beds and great showers ...... in a stunning ski-in/ski-out location with the most amazing mountain views The food has been outstanding from start to finish - nothing too much trouble to ask for a change to the menu. Housekeeping services have also been top knotch. Kelly has been the most amazing host. Everything has been spot on and she has always been ready to chat and be part of our family group and provide information whenever we have asked for something We would definitely recommend Chalet Ossetra and the VIP ski experience

This was our first Chalet experience, having previously stayed in hotels. Our expectations were totally exceeded by the space and quality of the Chalet, the dedication of the VIP team and in particular Kelly, who cooked the most delicious food and looked after us exceptionally well. Kristin popped in regularly with information and to make sure we were happy. Christmas Day was amazing. The proximity to the slopes, beautiful views and fantastic skiing has made this a fabulous holiday to remember!

The chalet is lovely, located on the piste so you can literally stay on skis all day. The host was excellent, always smiling and making our days easier and well fed. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Lots of homely touches - a home away from home. The building and interior design was carefully considered. Avoriaz is a purpose built resort which has been really well thought through and is genuinely ski in and ski out. For non skiers we tried yoga , swimming, really good pool, and there is a central sledging area. Our host went the extra mile to create a number of three course meals that were well balanced and thoroughly appreciated after a long day skiing. The wake up drinks were also welcomed when waking for an early lesson. The resort manager was helpful in finding and booking lessons for the younger first-timer in the group and our chalet host Kelly went the extra mile in the mornings entertaining our 4 year old whilst we stayed in bed. For lessons we recommend Mark at Avoriaz Alpine. This has been a really relaxing holiday. Kelly, our host has made us feel really welcome - nothing has been too much trouble for her and she has really made the week feel special for us. We loved it !

Great chalet, would recommend to anyone who is looking for a ski in / ski out place on the slopes. Fantastic service from our brilliant chalet host who produced restaurant quality food every day (thanks Ross!). Would definitely return. Thanks VIP for yet another great holiday!

We couldn't have been happier with our holiday at Chalet Ossetra. There was clearly so much thought put into every detail of the holiday to make it truly memorable. Our host Ross has been amazing, genuinely wonderful with our children and the perfect balance of professional and discreet yet extremely friendly and easy to have around. The location of the Chalet is perfect and Avoriaz in general is a great resort!

Avoriaz is great for families. VIP Ski chalet Ossetra is in a good location for the slopes, ski rental and ski school for children. Ross & Isla our chalet hosts were brilliant with the children and took the snowmen made of them in good spirit as well as listening to their endless chatter!

We've stayed with VIP many times in various resorts. Have always had outstanding experiences, when in one of their smaller chalets and this has been no different. The chalet hosts, Ross and Isla, were a wonderful combination of professionalism and ease - just perfect! Obviously, being a brand new chalet, there are the inevitable teething problems (no place to hang towels in bathrooms(!); badly planned (not nearly enough) storage, etc , but I'm sure VIP will put them all right. And as per prior reviews, to not have a working fireplace in a chalet is a big disappointment, but to not have it sorted three weeks later is even more so. And on a lesser note, this is the first time we've encountered an "honesty bar" in a VIP chalet.

Thank you for your feedback. New glass for the fireplace has been ordered and is on it's way to Avoriaz. We hope to have this problem resolved as quickly as possible and thank you for your understanding.

We all had a brilliant week in Chalet Ossetra. The chalet is in the perfect location with amazing views and the beds are very comfortable. Ross and Isla were great hosts and kept us well fed and watered all week. Overall the chalet is fantastic.

Ross our chalet host was extremely helpful, charming and totally wonderful. He worked incredibly hard all week to give us an amazing experience. We loved the chalet though we have mentioned a few problems you may want to change.  For example the shower on the top floor is badly designed as it allows water to run out badly. The location of the chalet is absolutely perfect with the ski in ski out approach. We have enjoyed Avoriaz and will definitely return, and possibly to this chalet. We have had a truly wonderful week with many thanks to Ross who really has been amazing, so well done to Ross and all the VIP staff. Many thanks.

We've really enjoyed the week at the Chalet. Having the chalet exclusively has been great. Room lay out allows for privacy with nice communal space. Food has been excellent and our host Ross has been very accomodating, friendly and flexible. Would definitely return. The service overall has been great, many thanks
