VIP SKI look for enthusiastic, dedicated individuals, with a good sense of humour and a hard-working attitude. With over 40 properties across Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Les Arcs & Val d'Isere, there's a wide variety of ski season jobs on offer. Whether you're passionate about food, qualified in childcare or want to put your maintenance skills to good use, we want to hear from you.

We pride ourselves on hand-picking the most interesting, hardworking, gregarious and professional candidates to work for us in the Alps. We prefer more mature applicants who take time and pride in their work and have more "life experience" to share with our guests, but we accept all applications above the age of 18 (unfortunately we are unable to employ anyone who is below this age).

It's not hard to have a great time out in the Alps but choosing the right company can make a huge difference to your ski season. VIP SKI is a privately owned company with a great reputation for looking after our colleagues as well as our guests.

We operate a programme of luxury catered chalet holidays in 5 fabulous resorts across France. We will sift through thousands of applications to find 170 (ish) perfect candidates to deliver our holidays in the Alps.

Ski season jobs for the 2024/25 season

Our Recruitment team return to the UK in May to sift through the hundreds of CV's and shortlisting for interviews which are held between June and September.

Many of the ski season jobs for the forthcoming season have already been filled but we do still have a few roles to fill.

Unfortunately, all chalet host roles are currently filled for the forthcoming winter, however if you really think that we are missing out by not meeting you, then do get in touch. We do occasionally have dropouts for all sorts of reasons before the season starts, and the best applicants on interview will be prioritised on a waitlist. We do also have limited space for all other roles.

Frequently asked questions regarding ski season jobs

Don’t I need a work visa ?
No need to worry about this, we acquire a work authorisation for you from the French authorities and then organise all the formalities for your six month work visa before you travel to the Alps.

What date would I start?
Start dates vary depending on the resort you're working in. Usually, the Management team will leave for the Alps in early November, and the last training course will begin at the start of December.

Can I just do a couple of months?
We will recruit employees for the whole season primarily. Of course, we can't avoid injury/illness so in some cases we may recruit for just a few months.

Is there an age limit?
Our average age is slightly older due to the experience we look for. However, we accept any applications from those over the age of 18 (unfortunately we are unable to employ you overseas below this age), and there is definitely no limit on how old you can be to go and work in the Alps!

What qualifications do I need?
For chalet host positions, we do not actively look for qualified chefs or cooks, although a passion for cooking and confidence throwing dinner parties is a necessity.
If you're applying for a nanny position, we require NNEB, CACHE 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Driver roles require a full clean driving licence held for 5 years.

Can you guarantee that I'll go to the resort of my choice?
We can't guarantee that you will get the resort of your choice as your skills might be needed in another resort. However, we recommend applying earlier to have the best chance of securing your preferred resort. Our recruitment team have an in-depth knowledge of each resort and therefore will know where you will suit best.

Do you employ couples?
Yes. Our chalets and hotels often require more than one person so couples may apply.

I’m not British, can I still work for you?
To gain a legal secondment we need you to have been paying UK National Insurance and have a National Insurance number.

When will you be holding interviews?
Our peak recruitment months are June - August but interviews will continue until the end of September.

Can you recommend a cookery course I can do?
Yes. We run our own VIP SKI cookery course in Morzine during the summer. Read more here

How much ski time will I have?
Working hours in the day vary depending on the role, but you'll be able to ski every day apart from transfer day (childcare hours may vary.)
