No. 5 Aspen House

We had the best Christmas holiday in Val d’Isere at Aspen House #5. This was our first chalet experience and it exceeded all of our expectations. The skiing was amazing and just a short, easy walk from the chalet. Absolutely everyone we met from VIP was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic to help make this a wonderful week. There were so many special touches for the holiday, from a decorated Christmas tree in the chalet to Christmas carols on Christmas Eve and truly the most delicious Christmas dinner ever. The true highlight of our trip was our chalet host Lottie. She took such good care of our family, and looked out for our every need. We could not have been happier to spend the week with her. Her cooking was amazing - we will miss waking up to a cooked breakfast, coming home in the afternoons to delicious freshly baked cookies, cakes or bars, and what can only be described as restaurant quality dinners. She thought of every detail! We can’t thank Lottie and everyone at VIP enough for making this such a special and memorable week for our family. It was perfect!

This was truly a world class holiday for our family. We had heard great things about VIP and our experience didn’t disappoint. Lottie was a terrific hostess for our family. She was attentive, upbeat, super friendly and interacted with our children in a wonderful way. We will miss her! Thank you for a wonderful week!!

Lottie and Jess made our holiday very special. Their attention to detail was amazing and made us feel so welcome. Aspen 5 was a great base to explore everything Val D’Isere has to offer. All of the team @ Aspen house have been very friendly always wanting to offer help when needed. Once again many many thanks to Lottie and Jess, you’re such great hosts!!! We were very lucky to have you!!

This was an excellent holiday for several reasons. The resort is beautiful with so many runs for different abilities and varying conditions. The town is great place to go to out to in the evening with lots of shops and lovely bars and eating places. Most of all the chalet and our host Jack were superb. The chalet was of a nice size and it had only been open a few weeks so everything was lovely. It was warm, beds were very comfortable and the shower magnificent after a long day on the slopes. Then we come back to Jack, our chalet host. He was excellent in every way. He couldn't have done anything more to help all of the guests. His cooking was superb. The food he cooked was brilliant. He was very personable and kept us fed and watered to a very high standard. The recipes he undertook were very well balanced and portion size excellent. Good standard of wine as ell. All of the VIP staff were very helpful and would assist you in any way that you needed them.

We have been to many VIP chalets over the years . All have been very good . This one was exceptional largely due to the host, Jack. He is a great host and superb cook as well as being exceptionally conscientious and diligent. We think he has set a very high bar for VIP hospitality and professionalism. The new chalet is lovely and very well appointed. and located. Also thanks to Dan at Bellevarde for storing our ski kit from our December holiday and having it ready for us in Aspen in January. again above and beyond .... We are very much looking forward to our next VIP holiday Eileen and Mark

We loved everything !! 10/10 cooking, most amazing food - personal favourites were espresso tray bake, beef dinner, and roast Lamb Ben couldn't have been a better host, so welcoming and felt like one of the family by the end of the week, we will see you next New Years where will we be bringing many more!! Best week ever x

As a family we have travelled the world and had some amazing times, however, this was the first time ever we have spent Christmas away from home. OMG In the words of the kids on the block!!!! We had an absolutely amazing time due mainly to our brilliant chalet host Ben Salter... Young, new boy, that the whole family welcomed with his excellent communication skills and affable manor, he has an amazing ability to engage with old & new..... ( me being old lol) BUT, his cooking skills were amazing, my wife a "Master Chef" finalist could not believe the meals/snacks this lad turned out for us... Ben even cooked something he called "off piste" FlapJack, OMG it was awesome, if you guys don't want the recipe we do!!! lol The Ben turned out a soup starter, my wife said was without doubt the best soup she had ever had, ever!!!!!!! I am sure this sounds like a family and friends review but I can assure you we just had the best time ever and would without doubt adopt Ben if he ever needed a place to stay or a new family!!!!!! Finally, I/we would also like to mention the lovely Tess, who helped during the potential SARS Virus of Val d'isere, lol, she was so happy and made us all feel welcome even though she was evidently off the subs bench...
