Snow conditions were excellent. VIP SKI staff were extremely friendly, helpful and willing to make adjustments meet our needs. Frankie, Danae, Sam, Jess, and Kristin were all amazing. Food has been excellent and overall would recommend VIP SKI to family and friends.

Read more… Stayed Dec 2019We stayed as a party of 4 adults and two children, and we all had a wonderful time! Jonny and Fursey made our holiday memorable, special and entertaining for everyone. We very much enjoyed their cooking - looked forward to it every evening. The breakfast mushrooms are to die for! We are novice skiers, so didn't manage to utilise the "ski-in-ski-out" feature of the chalet, the hill was easier to walk up then ski up! But the runs were very close by. The chalet was very modern, cozy and comfortable. It was not mentioned in the description about the amazing mountain views you get from the chalet. The team went above and beyond on caring for the children. The VIP team had preordered milk and nappies in advance of our arrival. Holly, the nanny had pre-prepared everything for our 11 month old. She also took great care in ensuring our 4 year old son had great fun indoors and outdoors. The hosts also helped entertain our son in the morning with their breakfast cooking class just for him, he thoroughly enjoyed helping to make the pancakes in the morning, even acting as their waiter taking the breakfast orders from the adults. Finally, one of the party was pregnant and the hosts were extremely mindful of the food served and made the appropriate substitutions. Overall, we had the most amazing experience and can't recommend it enough.

Read more… Stayed Feb 2019This holiday was one of my favourite holidays ever. The fire wasn't working but our lovely chalet hosts, Freddie and Liv made up for it with their friendly attitude and delicious food. Freddie and Liv put a humongous amount of effort into our food by making us different foods if we didn't like the set food. I really enjoyed all the food but my favourite was the melting chocolate cake pots. The chalet was wonderful. I especially loved the huge sofa. Overall this has been a once in a lifetime experience.I have enjoyed every minute and would definitely come again. Millie Jones age 9.

Read more… Stayed Feb 2019Chalet Kakisa is a beautiful, well positioned chalet. As a new chalet there are teething issues but nothing which spoiled our enjoyment. It is not really ski in, ski out, rather pole in, pole out for about 50 metres but quite manageable. Our hostess Liv was excellent: attentive without being intrusive and a very good cook. Resort manager Will regularly visited, was highly accessible and quickly sorted out a minor problem we had. Our first holiday with VIP and we were intrigued to find out whether they are worth the extra money. They are.

Read more… Stayed Jan 2019Another great holiday with VIP. As always the staff were excellent and Freddy and Liv did a fantastic job looking after us, and along with the resort manager Will were very helpful as sorting things out when one of our party had a minor on slope injury. The food was excellent, varies and well prepared, and I'm glad that VIP have changed the standard menu, after 5 seasons in a row it's good to have something different. The Chalet is good, and well appointed, and decorated in a "modern" style, personally I'm not a great fan of black stained wood (It can be overdone and then looks oppressive), but others in the party who are more with it than me said it was a good balance and nicely done. As a new chalet there are some teething problems, the TV in one room didn't work and a shower leaked a bit, but these were very minor and didn't detract from out holiday at all (though the shower leak probably does need to be sorted before the tiles start lifting) We'd never skied in Avoriaz / Portes-du-Soleil before, the resort is good and high at 1800m to likely to have good snow for most of the season, what we hadn't realised is just how enteral Avoriaz is to the larger resort area, it's very easy to connect to Morzine / Les Gets, Chatel and the Swiss slopes (but be careful to avoid "The Swiss Wall" if your group is not composed entirely of excellent skiers.

Read more… Stayed Jan 2019Holiday experience was generally good. The chalet is in a great position. Getting to our chalet on the first day was a bit of a muddle and not a VIP experience. We felt that Becca and Ed did a fabulous job in such a small and badly designed kitchen. The meals were delicious and her gluten free cakes were very good. The dining table is a joke. Massively oversized and extremely impractical. We had to shout to each other. Not a cosy experience. The chalet was advertised as 8-10 people. The chalet actually sleeps 8 adults and two small children comfortably. The adult who drew the short straw spent one week on a mattress on the floor which was too small for her. The chalet was missing some vital appliances. A coffee machine where guests can make their own coffee and a toaster. One guest is gluten free and didn't get any gluten free bread until day three and when it did arrive it wasn't possible to toast it. Poor quality sliced gluten free bread is inedible unless toasted. The only gluten free cereal contained chocolate bits. More fresh fruit and possibly avocados at breakfast would have been nice. The fireplace didn't work for the first three days. The first two times it was lit it filled the chalet with smoke and we had to open all the windows and doors. We asked for somebody to look at the fireplace. This fault was not rectified until day 4 when maintenance discovered that the flu was blocked. We considered this a serious safety issue which should have been tested and passed before guests arrived at the chalet. We had an issue with a leak one evening. Water was dripping from the kitchen through the light fitting in the bedroom below. We were unable to shower before bed and had to clean our teeth with bottled water (I hope we won't be charged for this bottled water). We had members of staff trying to rectify the issue all evening. TV in the room with the bunk beds didn't work. Bedside lights in two of the bedrooms didn't work. The staff, all extremely friendly, but there seemed to be a lack of resort knowledge. They were unable to recommend any mountain side or village restaurants. Luckily for us we have a friend who has stayed in the village many times and recommended some very good restaurants which we would never have found had we not been told. A folder in the chalet with lists of restaurants would be a good idea. We were extremely surprised that we had to pay for beer. We have stayed in numerous catered chalets over the years and have never had an honesty bar. Beer has always been included in catered chalets. Tissues also always provided in bathrooms. We had a fabulous holiday but there are a lot of issues which need to be rectified by the managers of VIP.
