Chalet Kobuk

From the moment we met Alex at the airport, we were thoroughly taken care of by VIP. I wondered how we would get to the chalet in the middle of a car-free resort. Again, I needn't have worried. It was all sorted by the capable staff in resort, Will and Henry. It was a lovely touch to be greeted by our hosts Anna and George, who were the jewels in the crown of the VIP experience. As someone who has worked as a chalet host in Morzine for Snowline/VIP 21 years ago! I can attest to how much of a rewarding but challenging job it can sometimes be. George and Anna were so patient with my chatterbox children and they provided the perfect environment where me and my family could be ourselves over Christmas. The food and care they provided was top-notch. Kayleigh, our super-nanny, was no different. A fantastic support and friend to us and our children, which allowed us to make the most of our time on the ski slopes. Henry was also very attentive and courteous and kept us informed when snagging works was going on in the chalet. Your people really are your biggest asset VIP/Andy. Again, we were so fortunate to have George, Anna and Kayleigh for our Christmas holiday. Thank you so much xxx Kerr and Flora 

We travelled as a family group of 9 persons, mixed aged between 18 and 50 ish. Half of the family had never skied before, with the other half a mix of frequent skiers and those that had been on the occasional skiing holiday. However, this was the first time that all of the group had used a catered chalet for their holidays. Great communication with VIP Ski from start to finish. First time staying in Avoriaz although I have skied in to the town on previous holidays. Good choice as the snow conditions were perfect consider the lack of snow elsewhere. Avoriaz caters for all ages. Chalet Kobuk is situated in the perfect location just off the main slope and within east reach of bars, shops, restaurants etc. The chalet itself is wonderful, furnished to a high standard, great sized bedrooms each with own en-suite, and the added touch of having a new sauna room. However it was our VIP Ski hosts, George, Anna and Max that made the holiday such a wonderful experience. A hard working group of lovely young people, very engaging with all the family, catered for all our needs and always ensuring that our holiday was running smoothly. All the meals prepared to a very high standard and the wine was excellent too. A big thank you to them from me and the rest of the family. Whilst the cost of the holiday initially appears expensive, I actually feel that it’s good value for money considering the quality of the chalet, service and standard of food provided. We will definitely be using VIP Ski again.

We are just back from a fantastic week at Chalet kobuk in Avoriaz . Within walking distance to the town , ski hire shop, cafes , restaurants and main lifts our location was perfect . Jody and Gemma looked after us beautifully and nothing was too much trouble . How lucky were we to have plenty of snow and the best Christmas ever . We will be back

I was 1 of a group of 8 who stayed in Chalet Kobuk Jan 19th to 26th 2020. The snow conditions were very good, and coldish sunny weather was very welcome, the chalet was warm, cosy, and very comfortable, with spectacular views of the mountains, and last, but not least, our 2 chalet hosts, Johnny and Furzey were so hospitable, laid back, in the nicest way,and as Sarah in the group said, "nothing was too much trouble", and the delicious meals........They looked after us so well. A big thank you to J & F and the whole of the brilliant V.I.P. team

A really lovely chalet to spend a weeks skiing, a comfortable home from home. Jonny and Fursey were truly excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. They were excellent chefs, really interacted well with us and other guests, a credit to VIP. The chalet was a great ski out location, a little poling required to ski in but not too bad. There were us and another couple in the chalet only but there is so much space if you were a larger group. The best ski holiday we've had in a while, thanks VIP. We will definitely return.

A great short break experience. Flights, transfer and snow cat to our accommodation was flawless. The chalet was lovely and cosy with great views. It would be nice to return later in the season to make the most of the balcony! Johnny and Ferley were great hosts. We were lucky enough to meet and share the chalet with some great people and ended up skiing together for most of the week. Would definitely book again. If you are only on a short break it is great to be next to the piste.

A fabulous week in Avoriaz in chalet Kubok. We came with a couple of friends but soon made more where the layout in the chalet was convivial keeping everyone together in one of the two seating areas! We were very well catered for at all times, whether delicious cakes and hot drinks after skiing or the four course supper later on. Our hosts Jonny and Fursey were grea hosts so thanks guys. We would come again (especially if the weather was as good).

Everything from the airport pickup & transfer was effortless, the VIP staff are very attentive and genuinely care about making the guests feel welcome and comfortable. Our chalet hosts, Freyah and Taylor, went out of their way to look after us all so well, the food was brilliant and they were so friendly and helpful. The children had such fun with them! Our VIP nanny, Beth was also fantastic, and did so many fun things with the children. Thank you!

Lovely new chalet, plenty of communal space and great hosts.

Thank you to our hosts for the wonderful food and courteous service. Chalet is new and very nice, rooms good, plenty of hot water, loved the mezzanine to sit and read on a snowy day/rest day. Great ski in - ski out chalet.

Great week skiing. Good food and wine and plenty of it, nice welcoming feeling. Friendly hosts and knowledgeable about piste and ski area.

This is the second year we have booked with VIP having stayed in Les Gets last year. Chalet Kobuk in Avoriaz was brand new when we stayed and were really happy as it was well designed and well positioned, the chalet had a great view over the main bowl, comfortable rooms, super bathrooms (really, what a cracking shower!), and was pretty much ski in ski out... Charlie and Kate as hosts were wonderful and made us feel very welcome - their hosting was excellent throughout for both adults and kids and the food was generally delicious. We had a fabulous nanny, Beth, to help us out over the week and she couldn't have been more engaged or patient with the children who are 2 and 4. She fitted in with all our plans, was reliable and exactly the help we needed to have time away skiing with no worries about the children, and they adored her within hours of meeting her! We'd highly recommend both the chalet, the excellent hosting staff and VIP as a company to any prospective skiers.
